"Perur Patteeswaraswamy Temple Built by Karikala Cholan, the temple is at its colourful best in March, when the 'Panguni Uthiram' is celebrated. SHIVA, the presiding deity of this temple is known as 'Patteeswarar' and his consort Parvathi is known as 'Panchanayaki'. The temple upholds huge statues. The sculptures that are on the walls of the 'Kanagasabai' clearly reflect the eminence of the then sculptors. The statues of Gajasamhara, Virabadra, Bikshadana, Oordhva Thandava, Saraswathi with Veena all rival one another in artistic perfection. The temple is 7kms away from Coimbatore and is situated on the banks of River Noyyal. The temple is kept open for worship between 05.00AM to 12.00 PM and 03.00 PM to 08.00 PM. Bus routes are 2, 9, 14, 25, 35, 59, S3, S4, S8. " (j'y avais été en taxi)
