Pour les voyageurs au Pakistan, prudence ... Voici les dernières news du 10 Octobre. ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (CNN) -- Kidnappers believed to be linked to al Qaeda are threatening to kill two Chinese engineers unless several al Qaeda members held by Pakistan are released, according to officials in the country. The Chinese engineers and two Pakistani security guards were taken hostage Saturday near the Afghan border in a remote tribal region of Pakistan, according to Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao. Negotiations between the government and kidnappers have been under way since Saturday, Sherpao said on Sunday. The Chinese were in the South Waziristan province to work on a dam construction project, he said. Pakistan has launched a series of military operations in the area this year to flush out militants, including Central Asians, Arabs and Afghans, killing scores of suspects and capturing others.
