Hello, What do you mean by "multicolored"—different types of flowers on the same bush?

Hi there,

Try your luck at Chatuchak Market in Bangkok on Wednesdays or Thursdays—those are the days when everything plant-related is open.

If you're bringing them back to the EU: https://terredegraines.fr/importation-de-graines/ https://www.service-public.fr/particuliers/vosdroits/F3161

Excerpt:

"Non-protected plant species The introduction into the European Union of plants intended for planting is strictly controlled. You must apply for a phytosanitary certificate from the first specimen transported. The request must be made before your departure, from the country of origin of the goods. It must be sent to the veterinary and phytosanitary inspection service at the border (SIVEP):

Thanks so much! Better safe than sorry, so I won’t take anything at all.

Hello, Out of curiosity, since I’m also interested in exotic plants, I looked into how to germinate these bougainvillea seeds... it doesn’t seem easy, as they require very specific germination conditions just to get the plant, and the chance of actually growing the tree is slim!!! Maybe it’d be wiser to go to a French garden center to buy the plant in a pot—I’m not suggesting ordering it online given the shipping issues with live plants. Otherwise, while you’re there in one of Chiang Mai’s gardens, take photos of frangipani flowers from every angle and hold your breath to inhale their scent deeply. Botanically yours, Carassou

Hi there You can easily find bougainvillea cuttings to replant, but I’m not sure about seeds. The multicolored varieties are actually single-color plants that have had shoots of another color grafted onto them.

PS: You can find seeds on Amazon.
