Les prestations liées au CB visa sont parfaites mais ne sont plus valables dès lors qu'on sort plus de 90 jours de France. D'où l'idée de certains d'utiliser 2 CB de 2 comptes distincts: en changeant tous les trois mois, on donne l'apparence d'un retour en France sur l'une puis l'autre des comptes, ce qui proroge les droits d'assistance.

salut je suis actuellement en (fin de) voyage de 6 mois en asie du sud est, et comme toi, avant le depart j'ai galere pour l'assurance sante. effectivement la CB c'est pas bon pour les sejours de plus de 3 mois. suivant les pays ou tu vas (moi j'avais la birmanie dans mon itineraire), les assureurs te proposent des assurances assistance/rapatriement hors de prix et c'est encore pire si tu as passe 30 ans (c'est bien connu on est croulant a cet age la). a tout hasard je me suis renseignee aupres de mon assureur en responsabilite civile, je me suis dit qu'il me sortirait peut etre un tarif interessant vu que j'avais deja une assurance chez lui. et en fait le contrat de mon assurance responsabilite civile (souvent incluse dans une assurance habitation) a une clause assistance rapatriement pour tout voyage a l'etranger n'excedant pas 1 an. Petit bonus, mon compagnon est egalement couvert pas mon assurance sans cotisation supplementaire. renseigne toi aupres de ton assureur, de toute facon la plupart du temps on est surassures et on ne le sait meme pas. si ca ne marche pas essaye europ assistance. j'ai rencontre un couple de francais en vadrouille pour 1 an et ils avaient une super bonne couverture (ils ont malheureusement eu a la tester, donc elle a fait ses preuves) pour 100 euros pour l'annee.

J'ai déjà vu avec mon assurance (MGA) et les prix demandés sont exorbitants (+ de 1000€ pour 2 et pour 6 mois). C’est vrai que je n’ai pas jeté un œil sur mon contrat responsabilité civile : Grâce à tes conseils, je vais m’y pencher un peu plus sérieusement.

J'entends souvent dire que la CB ne sert pas pour les voyages de plus de 3 mois. Rassurez-moi, on peut quand même partir 6 mois et utiliser l'assistanceassurance CB les 3 premiers mois et une assistance-assurance extérieure les 3 mois suivant, non ?
effectivement tu peux utiliser ton assurance CB pour les 3 pemiers mois du voyage et une assurance complementaire pour la suite. mais si tu as lu les posts precedents, n'oublie pas de te renseigner aupres de ton assureur responsabilite civile et meme auto, souvent il y a une clause assistance rapatriement dans les contrats
J'ai rien sur mon assurance auto. En ce qui concerne l'assurance responsabilité civile, elle est liée à l'assurance logement (en général) et comme j'ai pas envie de payer le loyer pour rien pendant mon TDM, je l'abandonne lachement donc... plus d'assurance logement.
meme si tu abandonnes ton logement, tu peux garder une assurance responsabilite civile, ce que j'ai fait, (ca fait bien longtemps que je n'ai plus de logement a assurer !) et qui te permet d'avoir une assistance/ rapatriement

Je prends une année pour voyager et refléchir à la suite de ma vie ( j'ai 19 ans mon bac et toutes mes dents !)... motivation pour mes études sup ... etc... apres 6 mois en angleterre, je pars pour Shangai apprendre le mandarin et decouvrir ce bout de la planète bleue et je galère pour trouver une assurance pour environ 6 mois : c'est hors de prix !!! si tu payes ton billet d'avion par cb tu es couverte 3 mois, ensuite renseigne toi sur le plan marcopolo, assurance pour les voyageurs de plus de trois mois tout à fait accessible (environ 40E par mois), ou reseigne toi auprés de ta banque il propose souvent des assurances longues durée mais un peu plus chère.

Juste pour info, on pense souvent qu'il faut payer son billet d'avion avec la visa pour bénéficier des 90 jours d'assistance. En fait, tu n'es meme pas obligé de payer ton billet avce pour qu'elle marche 😉.
Je pense ( mais pas certain) que ça commence lorsque tu arrives à l'étranger, car pas couvert dans l'avion. C'est de toute façon lors du début de ton voyage.
Par contre, depuis que j'ai laissé ce dernier message, je me suis apperçu que la visa ne te couvre pas sur la résponsabilité civile, je savais pas.

Donc en ce qui me concerne, je vais prendre AVI dés le début de mon voyage et pas économiser les trois premiers mois ( soit 45 euros x 3) comme je le voulais. Ca allonge le plombe un peu le budget assurances, mais je pense qu'il vaut mieux jouer la sécurité.

Je viens de prendre mon assurance j'ai opté pour world nomads y compris les 3 premiers mois, pas d'écho pour l'instant sur vf mais bon si on ne tente pas, il n'y en aura jamais donc je vous tiendrai au courant.
tu peux la prendre ou la prolonger online, le seul truc c'est que c'est en anglais et qu'il te faut passer par l'australie ou la nouvelle zélande, au niveau assistance, c'est mondial assistance, donc je pense que ça va, d'autant que c'est conseillé par lonely planet.
J'en ai eu pour 336€ pour 12 mois (dont 56€ pour assurer mon Ipod et mon appareil photo (objets de plus de 250€).
On verra bien...

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

I have several chronic conditions (including asthma and related ones), and I’m planning to travel for a year across different countries.
Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...
