Je me trouve dans le sud/centre du chili whatever et jai des piqures enormes sur le corps, ca enfle ca fait mal ca pique ca se repend cest rouge et infecte, JE NE SAIS PLUS QUOI FAIRE. cest pas des puces de lit a ce quon me dit.... Quelqun a une idee ??!!!! Cest deja arrive a quelquun dautre ici???? une 60aine de ..piqures en 3 jours ahhhhh hopital demain..mais svp dites moi si ca vous est deja arrive ?

Les problèmes de peau sont difficiles à reconnaître. En Equateur, je me suis fait piquer lors d'un bivouac par des minuscules mouches noires et le lendemain, j'avais les chevilles toutes enflées au sens propre du terme😉 Mon mari a fait une allergie à partir de l'Amérique centrale avec des plaies purulentes un peu partout. Seule solution: la cortisone! Tu dois être en train de faire aussi une allergie à la piqûre d'une bestiole. Prends d'abord un antistaminique du style clarytine ou Zyrtec ( ils connaissent les génériques) ou tout simplement des cachets de cortisone. Dans ces pays, les pharmaciens s'y connaissent un peu: demande-leur!

Oui, ton truc ca ressemble effectivement a une reaction allergique... super alors que le medicament fasse son effet!
J'ai connu des histoires de bibittes assez infernales en voyage alors si j'etais toi, je prendrais qd meme mes precautions: Sois certaine que ce qui t'a cause ca ne prendra pas domicile dans tes bagages!! En Inde, j'ai attrape des punaises en dormant dans un hotel ou elles etaient legion. Je ne savais pas ce que c'etait et je me suis dit que tout allait s'arranger qd je changerais d'endroit. Malheureusement, ca ne s'est pas passe comme ca. Elles m'ont suivies pendant des mois et des mois, malgre les tonnes d'insecticides dont j'ai asperge toutes mes affaires, malgre que j'aie tout lave a l'eau bouillante, etc, etc. J'ai trop tarde a agir au debut et ca pond vite des oeufs ces machins-la. Deux fois j'ai du me debarasser de toutes mes choses! Je savais plus quoi faire. Je te laisse imaginer mon desarroi psychologique! Je le souhaite a personne.
Alors, bref, si j'etais je ferais tout ce que je peux pour eviter que ca t'arrive. Si c'est seulement des puces, elles partiront vite. Des punaises, c'est autre chose. Leurs piqures sont toujours en rang, dans une ligne parfaitement droite. Jamais une toute seule, parfois jusqu'a 5 par une meme bestiole. Si tu les grattes ca pique vite vraiment bcp. On les voit pas en general, j'avais des piqures de partout et seulement une fois j'ai trouve une bestiole dans mes cheveux.
En somme, grand lavage a l'eau savonneuse la plus chaude possible. Laveuse et secheuse si possible. Shampooing anti-poux si tu as des doutes. En Inde, on m'a conseille l'huile essentielle de theier, qui est reconnue pour repousser les insectes et aussi pour soulager la sensation de piqure sur les endroits piques. L'huile de lavande a aussi des proprietes repoussantes a ce qu'on dit. Sinon, insecticides. Bof ecologiquement mais bon.

Je te dis vraiment ca a titre de prevention. Certainement si c'etait bien des punaises, elles sont restees bien au chaud dans le matelas ou tu les as attrapees.
Mais bon, mieux vaut prevenir que guerir. En tout cas, moi je te conseille vraiment de quitter l'endroit ou tu penses t'etre fait piquer.

Et a moi qui songe a aller en Inde a lautomne ouf hehehe... Jvaisprendre plus deprecautions qua lhabitude !!!! :)

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

I have several chronic conditions (including asthma and related ones), and I’m planning to travel for a year across different countries.
Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...

The suspected origin is contamination in Namibia by jackals.
The contagion seems to be spreading.

It’s the bite that transmits the disease.
There are so-called "furious" forms with aggression, but also forms without aggression.
