J'ai parcouru la section et une question revenait souvent : quelle bécane pour quel trajet.
Etant avec un homme atteint du virus motard et étant moi-même atteinte de voyagite aigue, nos deux maladies se sont conjuguées et me voilà avec la furieuse envie de faire le tour de l'Andalousie, au départ de Paris, en 35 jours.
La machine dont nous disposons pour le moment : un Fazer 600, ça vous semble dingue?
Question confort, on a déjà testé sur 500 km de rang et...évidemment, on a envie de se lever mais honnêtement, c'est faisable. La selle a été adaptée, confortisée et donc c'est confortable.
On a deux bagages amovibles qui permettent de loger des vêtements pour une semaine + un sac de réservoir dépliable.
On est équipé...raisonnablement : il a un cuir complet + bottes et moi j'ai le blouson renforcé + bottines qui remontent.
Ah oui, je suis la passagère :)

toutes les motos sont OK pour tous les trajets . tout dépendra de ce que vous ferez .........ou voudrez faire mais pas de souci .
en 1 mois vous avez largement le temps de descendre en zig zag, visiter l'andalousie et remonter itou et bien sûr, profiter des plages ........
Pour la tenue, si vous partez maintenant le cuir sera chaud sous le soleil andalou ........

si vous envisagez de longs périples, prévoyez une bécane confortable, avec un gros top case et des sacoches rigides, au mini un pare brise ou un carénage ......
rien n'est plus agréable que le confort pour effectuer des étapes de 6 ou 700 kms avec un mini de bagages ........
enfin quoi , pas un 600 fazer !

Je suis descendu au Portugal (en partant de Paris) l'été dernier avec un ami. Chacun sa moto : moi un 600CBF, lui un Z750. On a pris que des nationales, et sommes descendus jusq'à Lisbonne par la côte, puis remontés par la frontière espagnole. C'était génial, 5.300 bornes parcourues en 3 semaines et zéro souci ! :D Sa bécanne était toute neuve, mon CBF avait 85.000 bornes au compteur... et pas un bruit.
Bref, je ne vais pas m'étaler sur ce qu'on a fait, mais essayer de répondre à tes interrogations. Je pense que les températures sont assez comparables entre les deux pays/régions...
Niveau équipement j'avais :
- un topcase (oui c'est moche, mais pratique et démontable^^)
- un sac réservoir émanté (et ça c'est génial, ça ne bouge pas d'un poil, n'abîme pas la carrelingue, bref... je conseille à 200%!!!)
- un sac à dos accroché avec des tendeurs sur ma scelle arrière
Mon pote c'était :
- Un sac réservoir
- des sacoches en tissus (pratiques à transporter et à démonter !)
- un sac à dos mais... sur le dos (moi, personnellement, moins je porte mieux c'est !)
Côté vêtement :
- une veste en cuir (j'étais torse nu parfois au Portugal sous la veste)
- un jean
- des chaussures de moto (je n'ai plus la marque en tête, mais elles sont géniales ! Très aérées durant les grandes chaleurs, et surtout bien étanches !)
- et un casque intégral (évidemment !!!)
Pour vous, et d'après ce que tu as écris, je pense que les sacoches latérales ainsi que le sac réservoir sont indispensables. J'opterai vraiment pour un topcase aussi pour la simple raison que porter un sac à dos, ben ça fait mal à la longue (avec le vent, les km, etc...). A vous de voir, mais c'est quand même pratique et ça sert toujours ! Et puis quand je veux faire le beau, je le retire ! héhé

Là, on rentre de Thailande, et c'était sans la moto.
Pour les hébergements, puisqu'on est motorisés, on peut s'autoriser un peu tout. Les paradors sont très très beaux sinon, des petits hotels de ville. Un des critères de Mr est de pouvoir laisser notre bébé à roues dans un endroit sur (parking d'hotel, coin à motard). Ca fait encore partie de nos interrogations.
Un autre de nos critères est de pouvoir manger près de l'endroit où on dort pour s'autoriser des boissons alcoolisées et des moments de marche le soir ou de détente autrement que sur la moto.

Pour le sac à dos, nous sommes bien d'accord, c'est hors de questions. Aucun bagage n'est porté par "nous" sur la moto, c'est elle qui fait tout.
Question carénage, si nous attendons le nouveau bébé, on se dirige (enfin je nous pousse) vers un VFR 1000 ou 1200 donc je pense que ça ira.
Les bagages seront les deux valises latérales et le sac de réservoir. Et tout devra tenir dedans.
Ceci dit, je suis une voyageuse au long cours confirmée, je sais faire de tout petits sacs :)

Je suis parti 3 mois en trip au depard du Nord de la france , pour faire le tour de l espagne portugual , sardaigne corse et retour en france.
Et tout cela a 2 sur Fafa , notre fidele monture :fz600.
Aucun probleme , quelques chutes a l'arret (3 je pense ) , 15000 km 2, vidanges et un changement de pneus .
Revenons en a nos moutons : la moto et l'andalousie.
On etait equipé d un kit de 3 valises rigides GIVI , je pense que c est indispensable car on a pas besoin de se soucier toujours de nos affaires lorsqu on s'eloigne de la moto ( voyager libre , avec le moins de contraintes possible, on peut aller a la plage toute une apres midi sans penser a la moto ).On avait nos affaires sans valeur dans la sacoche reservoir et au dessus du top case (chargés a donf);Les sacs a dos sont a eviter , en cas de chute c est tres dangereux .On a dormi uniquement en camping sauf a seville ou l on a trouve une pension en plein centre , la moto devant l hotel.
Nous faisions des journees de 250 a 400km grand maximum. un peu mal au cul mais on dormait a meme le sol donc ce n 'est pas que de la faute de la moto.Nous avons eu zero probleme de moto
Je pense repartir pour un long trip apres l'ete , je ne sais pas où mais nous connaissons la moto:la meme .Apres , il faudrait essayer un autre modele pour voir les ameliorations , et nous avons moi et ma copine 25 ans donc on n est pas en grande recherche de confort (enfin pas moi ...lol)

Nous, on commence à rechercher le confort et donc on veut dormir dans un lit. Pour la moto, il y a une selle confort et ça suffit amplement...

si vous voulez préserver votre confort il peut être préférable que madame s'économise et prenne un billet d'avion à l'aller et choisisse sur place d'où repartir (c'est long Bruxelles Grenade)
pour monsieur et pour économiser pneu chaine espacement de vidanges etc il y a une liaison paris gare de bercy / biarritz ou narbonne, par contre il faudra garder les bagages souples avec soi
pensez à avoir vos gilets jaunes à portée de main / police espagnole parfois tatillonne
partez léger, on trouve bien évidement de tout sur place

c'est ce que j'organise pour mes potes anglais, ainsi il déjeunent les pieds dans l'eau le 3ème jour plutôt que de rouler 4 jours non stop (car la fatigue aidant ils lèvent le pied les 3 et 4ème jour)
de même au retour ils ne rentrent pas claqués de leurs vacances
j'ai passé le mois d'octobre entre Andalousie et Portugal, vous aurez de quoi vous régalez en pilotage chaque jour
une maxi précaution : les flèches blanches au milieu des voies, aussi inutiles que dangereuses en cas de pluie (certaines épaisses du plat de la main !!!

I’m starting to think about a trip that’s really close to my heart: Algeria by motorcycle, specifically the southern part of the country. It’d be for January 2025, and I’ve got two main questions:
Is it possible for an individual on a motorcycle to travel freely, outside of any organized tour, or does the regulation require some kind of supervision in the Algerian Sahara region?
Is the Hoggar massif accessible by road or by (rideable) tracks?
Beyond the official recommendations, I’m really looking for your firsthand experiences.

I just realized I’ve been registered on VoyageForum since... March 28, 2012 😊. Yet, I’ve barely participated until now.
August 1, 2026, will mark a somewhat special milestone: 5 years on the road.
We left Switzerland on August 1, 2021 with a simple idea: let chance decide our direction. We placed a bottle of wine on a world map, spun it... and it chose our first destination.
A year later, when we arrived in Morocco, we faced a new choice: continue toward Africa or head to Asia. This time, a tarot card game made the decision. Since then, we’ve tried to keep this journey as open to the unexpected as possible.
Today, that adds up to about 120,000 km, 46 countries, and over 1,800 days on the road—mostly by motorcycle, but also by sailboat, train, bus, hitchhiking, or on foot when adventure calls.
Our guiding thread isn’t just the motorcycle, but service exchanges. Instead of simply passing through countries, we try to stop regularly to lend a hand to the people we meet. So far, that’s about 600 days of volunteering.
Over the years, we’ve:
renovated a house in Croatia
made earth bricks in the Moroccan desert
helped sail a boat through the Greek islands
looked after houses, dogs, horses, a camel... and lots of other animals
worked at a street art festival in Morocco
created videos for local associations and projects
worked the grape harvest on the Tibetan plateau
been accredited as "media" for the World Nomad Games in Central Asia
Some of the moments that have stuck with us the most include six months in China, a night spent on the Great Wall, the Pamir Highway, the Silk Road, three months in Taiwan, and the incredible encounters in the mountains of Central Asia.
We travel on Falkor, our lucky dragon—a 2014 BMW F800GS that’s been with us since the start and is starting to have some great stories of its own.
While we share our adventure on Instagram, Polarsteps, and YouTube, that’s not why we’re here. The forum’s rules about promotion are clear, and I totally get them. If I’m finally taking the time to write, it’s mostly because after five years on the road, I thought our experience might be useful to other travelers.

I’m planning a motorcycle road trip to Armenia and Georgia in September 2026 or May 2027. I’m looking for one or more riders (male or female) who’d like to explore these countries with me.
Along the way, we’ll visit Cappadocia, the capitals Yerevan, Tbilisi, Sofia, Skopje, and other cities—we can finalize the route and roadbook later.
This trip requires experience with long motorcycle journeys, as we’ll cover around 7,000 km over 5 or 6 weeks (or more, depending on sightseeing and time spent).
I don’t expect dozens of applicants, since motorcycle riders are few and far between on this forum, but I’m putting this out there anyway.

I’m not particularly drawn to museums, ruins, or monuments.
I want to experience local life—small villages, seaside spots, beaches, and the interior if the landscapes are extraordinary.
Ideally, coming from Athens, I’d take a bus or train to get as close as possible to a starting point, then rent a scooter (125cc) to explore by taking secondary roads or even coastal paths. I’d stay in 2-3 places for a few days each to discover their surroundings.

What do you think would be the ideal itinerary?
From Athens, the best option would be to take either a flight or a bus to Kalamata. Rent a scooter and head either west or east. Is there a tertiary road (very lightly trafficked) or a path where I can ride slowly, take it easy, and enjoy the scenery without being bothered by traffic? I’d like to go all the way to Monemvasia, still hugging the coast. I need to find a way to avoid returning to Kalamata to drop off the scooter and catch a flight—maybe a small town where the train stops so I can head back to Athens.

How do you get visas for the countries I’ll be crossing: Uruguay, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, and Chile? Are they e-Visas, obtained at the border, or through embassies?
Where can I get vehicle insurance?

I’ve got 15 days off in June and I’m pretty undecided about where to go for a motorcycle road trip. Two strong desires are pulling me in different directions: Corsica or Norway.
Corsica has been a dream of mine for a long time: legendary roads, stunning landscapes, a unique vibe, and the perfect mix of sea and mountains. At the same time, I’m wondering if 2 weeks might be *too much* for Corsica—risking feeling like I’ve seen it all too quickly, especially on a bike.
Since I also have an extra week free in May, I could use that specifically for Corsica. Maybe splitting it into two trips would make more sense? If so, which routes or regions would be the most interesting to plan for a 7-day trip?
On the other hand, Norway is *super* appealing. The landscapes look incredible, totally different from anything I’ve experienced, and it’d be a real “wow” trip. I know 15 days is still short for such a vast country. Getting all the way to the North Cape seems pretty much impossible in that time, but I’m curious about what realistic routes could be planned.
So I’m wondering:
Is it better to save Norway for next year, take 3 weeks off, and do it *properly*?
Or are 15 days enough for a first amazing taste of the country?
I’d love to hear about your experiences—whether it’s Corsica (ideal duration, routes) or Norway (what’s realistic in 2 weeks on a bike).

Hello! We’re planning a motorcycle trip that will include a visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau in June 2026.
We’re unsure (still debating) whether we should stay at a hotel on-site and get to the memorial with an Uber (leaving our bikes at the hotel) and book a guided tour, or base ourselves in Kraków and take a tour that includes transport.
One thing’s for sure—we’d prefer a guide in French since we don’t speak English 😅.
Could you share your experiences or advice?

Unfortunately, I’m worried that parts of the N630 may have disappeared or merged with the A66 motorway, forcing us to ride long stretches of highway, which we’d rather avoid.

This is our first motorcycle trip in Morocco. I got my license two years ago with the dream of taking this kind of trip, and here we are! ✌️😍
In France, we usually ride between 300 to 400 km per day on roadsters. We’re not used to off-road tracks, so we’re looking for easy ones 😅—especially for me 😅.
For Morocco, I’ve planned stages of 200 to 300 km per day.
Here’s the idea:
Day 1 (departure at noon): Marrakech - Tizi n Test - Tafingoult (165 km - 4h15)
Day 2: Tafingoult - Amzarkou - Telouet (200 km - 4h34)
Day 3: Telouet - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Boumalne (200 km - 3h30) (+ Vallée des Roses maybe)
Day 4: Boumalne - Dades Gorges - Agoudal - Todra Gorges - Tinghir - Goulmima (291 km - 6h)
Day 5: Goulmima - Midelt - Cirque Jaffar - Agoudim (280 km - 4h45)
Day 6: Agoudim - Imilchil - Aghbala - El Ksiba (280 km - 4h45)
Day 7: El Ksiba - La Cathédrale - Zaouiat Ahansal (212 km - 4h20)
Day 8: Ahansal - Ouzoud Waterfalls via R 302 (188 km - 4h22)
