J'aimerais avoir quelques tuyaux de ceux qui ont déja fait le tour de la Corse en scooter 125.
Nous partons le 15 aout 2008 direction ajaccio, d'ici on loue le scooter, direction porticcio, puis propriano, ensuite on irait près de bonifacio, puis porto vecchio, ensuite la pointe tout en haut près de bastia, puis st florent, ensuite calvi, galéria, et cargèse, tout ça en 15 jours c'est faisable?J'ai réservé dans plusieurs hôtels et chambres d'hôtes différents.On verra bien!
On voulait prendre un grand sac a dos pour 2, porté par le passager, est-ce possible?ce n'est pas trop dangereux?
Que doit-on emmener principalement pour ne pas ètre trop chargé?
votre voyage sera génial mais dense . et vous touverez bcp de scooters surtout italiens .
par contre le sac porté sur le dos, c'est impossible à mon sens . tu vas tué le dos de ton passager .
à emmener : pas grand chose, il te faudra faire la lessive en route . à prendre malgré tout, un pull et une vest de pluie au cas ou .

Cette discussion m'intéresse beaucoup, je compte partir en Corse seul, de 50 kilomètres à l'ouest de Montpellier, en moto 125 (Yamaha YBR), mi ou fin septembre quand il fera moins chaud, en campant la plupart du temps, durée au moins plusieurs semaines. La seule chose qui me tracasse un peu, mais pas trop, c'est le vol de mes bagages souples ou le contenu (sacoche réservoir, sacoches latérales, gros sac sur le siège), en France métropolitaine ou en Corse quand je serai obligé de m'arrêter pour faire des courses ou me balader à pied. Ce serait super de partir avec quelqu'un ou un couple sympa en petite moto ou scooter, qui roule doucement, qui pense que c'est le voyage qui compte et pas l'arrivée. Votre itinéraire de 15 jours me semble un peu juste si on roule mollo mollo et respire tranquillement tout ce que la Corse peut offrir.
Deux excellents conseils que j'ai reçus ici grâce à Philippe, ou sur un autre forum : un sac à dos est vivement déconseillé en route au cas de chute, même petite ; il vaut mieux faire la côte corse dans le sens des aguilles d'une montre pour des raisons de sécurité routières évidentes.
Avez-vous pensé à louer sur place une moto 125 avec porte bagage au lieu d'un scooter sans ?
En faisant quelques recherche sur la Corse en vu de préparer mes porchaines vacances, je suis tombé sur ce message (25 Juillet 2008) qui à fortement retenu mon attention.
En Effet, Mon Amie et moi avons planifiés pour cet été (30 Juil. / 14 Aout 09) un tour de Corse en Scooter 125cc.
Arrivée à Ajaccio avec Scooter, puis Propirano, Bonifacio, Porto Vecchio, Etc....
Pour ce qui est de l'hebergement, ce sera camping et gites Etapes.
Riche de votre expérience, Je souhaiterais donc savoir, si vous pourriez nous adresser quelques conseils : Est ce vraiment réalisable? Pas trop dangereux? Quel solution pour les bagages? Gros sac à Dos? Sacoches? Itinéraires conseillés? Intinéraires Déconseillés? Matériel spécifique à prevoir? Hébergement, quelques conseils? etc...

Vos questions sont trop vastes pour répondre ici. Il va vous falloir faire un peu de travail et réflexion avant de partir, et tu trouveras tout sur le net si tu cherches. Je pars en Corse à petite bleue le 29 mai pour 3 semaines, camper, autonome…..
Pour être un peu plus précis, voici en fait quelles sont mes préocupations concernant notre tour de Corse en Scooter 125cc.
Tout d'abord, je suis un Néophyte du 2 roues. Nous avons acheter notre Scooter 125cc au mois de mars. J'ai déjà effectué presque 2000Km avec celui ci. Par contre, j'ai encore un peu de mal à imaginer comment aborder les routes de corse avec celui ci. Est ce que la cylindré est suffisante pour envisager un tour de corse? Est ce qu'un Scooter 125cc est adapté au petite route corse? y'a t'il des précaution particulière a prendre?
Ensuite, le seconde question qui me tracasse : Comment organiser le transport des affaires? nous avons prévue de faire le tour de corse avec 4/5 points de chute prédéfinit (camping). Pour ce faire, nous allons devoir transporter tente, duvet, matelas, etc. De plus, nous devons envisager d'emporter des affaires pour 2 personnes et pour 15 jours.
Notre Scooter (Piaggo XEVO) dispose d'un immense coffre qui devrait nous permettre de ranger tente, duvet, matelats, etc. Par contre, pour le reste, il va nous falloir envisager de nous charger comme des mules. C'est là ou j'aurais besoin d'un avis d'expert. Est il risqué de prendre un Sac a dos de Rando que le passagé porterait? Existe il d'autre solution que le sac a dos.?

Aucun problème, faire la Corse en complète autonomie avec une petite moto ou scooter 125 cc, rouler à 30 à 60 à l'heure la plupart du temps. La mienne Yamaha YBR 125 est très bien, grosses sacoches latérales extensibles Cir Cui par Ledrie vraiment bien, grosse sacoche réservoir, top case 29 litres, sac en plastique 50 litres (voir photos), bidon d'eau pliable de 6 litres, tente dôme Décathlon (T2 bleu 20 euros et parfaite !), tapis de sol auto gonflant Décathlon rando léger long style Therm-a-Rest, duvet d'oie léger Décathlon, réchaud Optimus Svea 123 + jeu casseroles SIG depuis 40 ans ! Lampe frontale Teka. Le Guide de Routard Corse pour les campings, plus VoyageForum. Rechanges : fusible, bougie, ampoule. Bombe à crevaison + clé à molette M. Bricolage. Ne pars pas sans avoir testé plusieurs fois tout le matériel, en passant la nuit sous la tente. Sac à dos porté par le passager est fortement déconseillé en cas de chute ou d'accident, tu risques gros. Voilà, quelques conseils qui pourraient t'aider un peu…..

Pour ce qui est du sac à dos, je prends bonne note. Je suis déjà entrain de regarder les possibilités d'adaptation de sacoche latérale, et également d'une sacoche centrale (entre les jambes). Solution un peu couteuse, mais certainement plus sure pour ma chère et tendre passagère.;-)
Je vais donc continuer mes recherches sur le net, et je suis sure que d'ici notre départ, j'aurais bon nombre d'autres questions.

De retour de Corse, deux semaines de camping, mais pas sauvage. La Corse est vraiment extraordinaire et les Corses bien accueillants ! Je te signale un camping municipal pas très loin de Sartène à Levie, en montagne. 9 euros la nuit moto incluse, ombragé et propre, sanitaires impeccables, responsables très sympathiques. Le matériel que j'ai cité marchait très bien.
Heureux de voir que ton séjour s'est passé pour le mieux.!! petit veinard.!! il me tarde de partir, mais les vacances ne sont pas prévues avant fin Juillet.!! ;-))
Je prends bonne note de cette adresse de camping.! pour ce qui est du materiel, je me suis largement inspiré de tes conseils, et nous avons commencer à faire nos divers achat. Nous partons ce WE nous faire un test grandeur nature au bord du Lac du Der (Haute Marne).

J'ai une opinion et une expérience différente concernant la sac à dos.
Personnellement, je suis allé dans les Pyrénées, au départ de Belgique avec un grand sac. Tout le poids du sac repose sur la selle et NON sur les épaules.
C'est un volume très appréciable pour les voyages en autonomie complète.
Par ailleurs, en cas d'accident ou chute, tu seras évidemment MIEUX protégés.
Je pars en corse en septembre en scooter HONDA SH300 et mon grand sac.

Normal, "Ca marche ou a bien marché pour moi, donc…." Attaché aux épaules ou pas ??? Conclusion : sans avoir consulté et lu les études pointues, c'est bien, même conseillé. Porter un sac à dos à moto ou à scooter, attaché aux épaules, lourd, est la différence entre s'en sortir d'un accident et le cercueil. Tu touches un arbre ou le goudron ou n'importe quoi, avec X kilos de plus aux épaules, il ne faut pas imaginer les conséquences. Mes excuses si j'ai mal interprété ton message.
Et bien, en fait, je voulais savoir pourquoi tu n'avais pas du camping sauvage, enfin du bivouac?

Et bien, après des décennies de camping sauvage en France, comme grand randonneur, jamais le moindre problème, un peu partout….. il y a une grande différence entre être à pied et à moto. Accessibilité à la discrétion.
Dans ce périple (le tour de la corse) le plus dur c'est de trouver "rapidement" à se loger le soir. Je sais qu"en 2-roues, passer d'un hôtel (souvent complet) à l'autre (toujours aussi complet), est plus simple qu'en "bagnole", mais quand même.
Sinon, la balade est fabuleuse et vaut le tour! je dirai même plus: le détour.

I’m starting to think about a trip that’s really close to my heart: Algeria by motorcycle, specifically the southern part of the country. It’d be for January 2025, and I’ve got two main questions:
Is it possible for an individual on a motorcycle to travel freely, outside of any organized tour, or does the regulation require some kind of supervision in the Algerian Sahara region?
Is the Hoggar massif accessible by road or by (rideable) tracks?
Beyond the official recommendations, I’m really looking for your firsthand experiences.

I just realized I’ve been registered on VoyageForum since... March 28, 2012 😊. Yet, I’ve barely participated until now.
August 1, 2026, will mark a somewhat special milestone: 5 years on the road.
We left Switzerland on August 1, 2021 with a simple idea: let chance decide our direction. We placed a bottle of wine on a world map, spun it... and it chose our first destination.
A year later, when we arrived in Morocco, we faced a new choice: continue toward Africa or head to Asia. This time, a tarot card game made the decision. Since then, we’ve tried to keep this journey as open to the unexpected as possible.
Today, that adds up to about 120,000 km, 46 countries, and over 1,800 days on the road—mostly by motorcycle, but also by sailboat, train, bus, hitchhiking, or on foot when adventure calls.
Our guiding thread isn’t just the motorcycle, but service exchanges. Instead of simply passing through countries, we try to stop regularly to lend a hand to the people we meet. So far, that’s about 600 days of volunteering.
Over the years, we’ve:
renovated a house in Croatia
made earth bricks in the Moroccan desert
helped sail a boat through the Greek islands
looked after houses, dogs, horses, a camel... and lots of other animals
worked at a street art festival in Morocco
created videos for local associations and projects
worked the grape harvest on the Tibetan plateau
been accredited as "media" for the World Nomad Games in Central Asia
Some of the moments that have stuck with us the most include six months in China, a night spent on the Great Wall, the Pamir Highway, the Silk Road, three months in Taiwan, and the incredible encounters in the mountains of Central Asia.
We travel on Falkor, our lucky dragon—a 2014 BMW F800GS that’s been with us since the start and is starting to have some great stories of its own.
While we share our adventure on Instagram, Polarsteps, and YouTube, that’s not why we’re here. The forum’s rules about promotion are clear, and I totally get them. If I’m finally taking the time to write, it’s mostly because after five years on the road, I thought our experience might be useful to other travelers.

I’m planning a motorcycle road trip to Armenia and Georgia in September 2026 or May 2027. I’m looking for one or more riders (male or female) who’d like to explore these countries with me.
Along the way, we’ll visit Cappadocia, the capitals Yerevan, Tbilisi, Sofia, Skopje, and other cities—we can finalize the route and roadbook later.
This trip requires experience with long motorcycle journeys, as we’ll cover around 7,000 km over 5 or 6 weeks (or more, depending on sightseeing and time spent).
I don’t expect dozens of applicants, since motorcycle riders are few and far between on this forum, but I’m putting this out there anyway.

I’m not particularly drawn to museums, ruins, or monuments.
I want to experience local life—small villages, seaside spots, beaches, and the interior if the landscapes are extraordinary.
Ideally, coming from Athens, I’d take a bus or train to get as close as possible to a starting point, then rent a scooter (125cc) to explore by taking secondary roads or even coastal paths. I’d stay in 2-3 places for a few days each to discover their surroundings.

What do you think would be the ideal itinerary?
From Athens, the best option would be to take either a flight or a bus to Kalamata. Rent a scooter and head either west or east. Is there a tertiary road (very lightly trafficked) or a path where I can ride slowly, take it easy, and enjoy the scenery without being bothered by traffic? I’d like to go all the way to Monemvasia, still hugging the coast. I need to find a way to avoid returning to Kalamata to drop off the scooter and catch a flight—maybe a small town where the train stops so I can head back to Athens.

I’m looking for info on shipping my vehicle by sea—possibly to Uruguay or another destination, as I haven’t finalized anything yet.
How do you get visas for the countries I’ll be crossing: Uruguay, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, and Chile? Are they e-Visas, obtained at the border, or through embassies?
Where can I get vehicle insurance?
Lastly, if any bikers want to join us (my partner and me), we’re open to that possibility too.

I’ve got 15 days off in June and I’m pretty undecided about where to go for a motorcycle road trip. Two strong desires are pulling me in different directions: Corsica or Norway.
Corsica has been a dream of mine for a long time: legendary roads, stunning landscapes, a unique vibe, and the perfect mix of sea and mountains. At the same time, I’m wondering if 2 weeks might be *too much* for Corsica—risking feeling like I’ve seen it all too quickly, especially on a bike.
Since I also have an extra week free in May, I could use that specifically for Corsica. Maybe splitting it into two trips would make more sense? If so, which routes or regions would be the most interesting to plan for a 7-day trip?
On the other hand, Norway is *super* appealing. The landscapes look incredible, totally different from anything I’ve experienced, and it’d be a real “wow” trip. I know 15 days is still short for such a vast country. Getting all the way to the North Cape seems pretty much impossible in that time, but I’m curious about what realistic routes could be planned.
So I’m wondering:
Is it better to save Norway for next year, take 3 weeks off, and do it *properly*?
Or are 15 days enough for a first amazing taste of the country?
I’d love to hear about your experiences—whether it’s Corsica (ideal duration, routes) or Norway (what’s realistic in 2 weeks on a bike).

Hello! We’re planning a motorcycle trip that will include a visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau in June 2026.
We’re unsure (still debating) whether we should stay at a hotel on-site and get to the memorial with an Uber (leaving our bikes at the hotel) and book a guided tour, or base ourselves in Kraków and take a tour that includes transport.
One thing’s for sure—we’d prefer a guide in French since we don’t speak English 😅.
Could you share your experiences or advice?

Unfortunately, I’m worried that parts of the N630 may have disappeared or merged with the A66 motorway, forcing us to ride long stretches of highway, which we’d rather avoid.

We’ve rented two Royal Enfield 450s.
This is our first motorcycle trip in Morocco. I got my license two years ago with the dream of taking this kind of trip, and here we are! ✌️😍
In France, we usually ride between 300 to 400 km per day on roadsters. We’re not used to off-road tracks, so we’re looking for easy ones 😅—especially for me 😅.
For Morocco, I’ve planned stages of 200 to 300 km per day.
Here’s the idea:
Day 1 (departure at noon): Marrakech - Tizi n Test - Tafingoult (165 km - 4h15)
Day 2: Tafingoult - Amzarkou - Telouet (200 km - 4h34)
Day 3: Telouet - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Boumalne (200 km - 3h30) (+ Vallée des Roses maybe)
Day 4: Boumalne - Dades Gorges - Agoudal - Todra Gorges - Tinghir - Goulmima (291 km - 6h)
Day 5: Goulmima - Midelt - Cirque Jaffar - Agoudim (280 km - 4h45)
Day 6: Agoudim - Imilchil - Aghbala - El Ksiba (280 km - 4h45)
Day 7: El Ksiba - La Cathédrale - Zaouiat Ahansal (212 km - 4h20)
Day 8: Ahansal - Ouzoud Waterfalls via R 302 (188 km - 4h22)
Day 9: Ouzoud - Marrakech (160 km - 2h43)
