Beyond its literal meaning, the first word is also an interjection that pops up all over the place in speech—like in those exaggerated Milanese imbruttito videos you can easily find on YT.

Pasta al pomodoro
A good drizzle of olive oil in a pan, sauté two garlic cloves cut in half and two or three finely chopped shallots. When it starts to brown, add a good splash of dry white wine. Add tomatoes (peeled beforehand) roughly chopped. Let it simmer until the tomatoes break down. Turn off the heat, add roughly torn fresh basil leaves. Add the al dente pasta. Toss everything together while giving it a quick blast of heat. Serve in deep plates, sprinkled with parmesan. Enjoy.Attila, you did say you had no objection to the post going off in all directions?
