Visiting Rabat or Casablanca with a camper van?

Hi there, I’m planning a trip to Morocco in our camper van for September/October, and I’m torn between visiting Rabat or Casablanca (we don’t want to spend too much time in big cities). Could you share your thoughts, as well as a campsite or secure parking spot where we could spend the night? Thanks

Personally, after visiting the most notable spots in big cities, I don’t go back and instead focus on exploring the country as thoroughly as possible. Depending on the size of the camper van, it’s often really tricky to use them in cities. As for campsites, there’s an excellent guide for that—"GANDINI"—which gives you addresses pretty much everywhere. Just a heads-up: booking ahead is highly recommended!! Have a great trip before it turns into another St. Tropez or Argelès-sur-Mer!

Hi there, I specifically don’t want to visit multiple big cities, which is why I’m asking for advice on which one to choose. We’ve already been to Morocco a few years ago in our van and visited Fès, Meknès, Marrakech, Taroudant, etc. This time, we’ve decided to return to explore the Atlantic coast instead. I think we’ll go with Rabat because Casablanca seems way too big. So, that’s why I’m asking if anyone can recommend a spot to park for a night or two nearby... We don’t plan on driving the van around the city! Thanks in advance

Hi, Have you checked Park4Night? If there’s a spot to spend the night in Rabat, it’s almost certainly listed there.
