Bonjour, l'épidémie est toujours là ; il y a entre 50 et 100 nouveaux cas connus par semaine dans l'ile, 4000 environ depuis le début en Mars . Il n'y a pas de zones totalement épargnée, il y a des cas à St Denis, St Pierre, dans l'Ouest nombreux cas au Port, l'Est aussi est touché . Le risque de transmission est présent entre 0 et 1000 m d'altitude surtout . Il y a des cas à Boucan Canot mais pas plus qu'ailleurs . On parle d'une maison à Boucan ou le propriétaire a abandonné la piscine avec un peu d'eau au fond, et les riverains se plaignent des moustiques, ils ont peur du virus Chikungunya . Le propriétaire aurait promis de tout nettoyer prochainement . On n'a aucune information sur ce que font les Autorités pour éradiquer les zones réservoirs de larves, c'est à dire partout ou de l'eau stagne . Chacun doit y mettre du sien car quand les pluies vont arriver et température monter, ça risque de faire mal . En attendant il faut vivre avec et se protéger contre l'Aedès ! pantalon le soir, crèmes répulsives, serpentins à bruler, clim pour dormir si possible, sinon moustiquaire imprégnée . Il faut pas trop flipper, venir à la Réunion, mais prendre quelques précautions . Attention, les Comores, Mayotte et Maurice sont touchées aussi

Personnellement je reporte mon voyage initialement prévu pour les vacances de février. Ce n'est pas tant pour moi que je crains, mais pour notre fils de 3 ans.
J'ai donc contacté lasminute, chez qui j'avais acheté le billet il y a 2 mois et, surtout, mon assurance annulation. J'avais pris celle-ci auprès de la société Elvia, qui est le pertenaire de Lastminute.
On vient malheureusement de me répondre chez Elvia que "les cas d'épidémies ne rentrent pas dans les clauses du contrat qui permettent d'obtenir l'annulation et le remboursement du voyage".
Je ne désespère pourtant pas et j'ai très récemment envoyé un courrier à Elvia ainsi qu'à Lastminute afin d'obtenir malgré tout un remboursement: nous sommes encore à un mois de notre départ et il y a une véritable épidémie (voir le communiqué du ministère de la santé: http://www.sante.gouv.fr/htm/actu/31_051228b.htm): cela n'est-il pas suffisant pour que nous décidions de ne plus aller à Laréunion pour l'instant???
Peut-être y a-t-il d'autres personnes dans ce même cas?
Quoi qu'il en soit, je tiendrai la communauté informée des suites de ma demande.

C'est le point mort: l'assurance m'a a nouveau répondu que les "épidémies n'entrent pas dans les clauses du contrat", et Lastminute ne veut rien savoir: le billet, disent-ils, n'est ni remboursable, ni échangeable.
Je serais curieux de savoir combien nous sommes dans notre cas...

même question posée à OPODO, même réponse... aucune possibilité d'annulation sauf celle prévues dans l'assurance et ne prévoyant bien sur pas dles cas d'épidémies. Je pense qu'il pourrait être utile d'alerter les associations de consommateurs de type UFC Que choisir. J'ai encore pour ma part du temps car je dois partir fin avril en famille donc je vais voir comment cela évole mais sur le principe, il serait pas mal qu'on les informe de cette arnaque.
Voyage annulé : Promovacances n'a rien voulu savoir : 300 € de perdus (assurances et frais de resiliation). Relativisons et pensons à la population locale .

Donc maintenant ce n est plus une epidemie mais bien une maladie mortelle ou il n y a pas de vaccin ou autre .
Il faut pfaire pression aupres de vos agences mais cela n est pas evident (manque a gagner )

😠😉oum!!!pour ma part, partant le 9 mars pour la Réunion!je pense que d'ici là, la démoustification aura fait ses preuves!!et en prenant les précautions d'usages!!créme et lotion anti-moustiques"cinq sur cinq"que nous a prescrit notre médecin..et en suivant les instructions dans l'ile..nous devrions passer un agréable séjour!!

on a 3 enfants, on vit à St Paul comme avant aussi.Je mets de la lotion avant d'aller à l'école. Je pense que les deces st liés aussi à des pathologies qui st aggravées par le chik, et ce petit garçon avait pê une autre patho.
Des amis arrivent le 17 mars avec leur petite fille chez nous.
😏😄mais oui!!je pense que ce "battage" médiatique, est pour le gouvernement le moyen de se couvrir en cas de problèmes!!au nom du principe de précaution...au printemps nous allons avoir droit au battage médiatique "la grippe aviaire"!!alors!!

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...

The suspected origin is contamination in Namibia by jackals.
The contagion seems to be spreading.
Preventive vaccination (of the animals) is being considered.

It’s the bite that transmits the disease.
There are so-called "furious" forms with aggression, but also forms without aggression.
