Hi, Does anyone know how late the buses run from Cusco Airport to the city center? I land at 9:30 PM, plus time to clear customs, pick up my luggage, and exchange some money—figure an extra 30 to 45 minutes. Though, come to think of it, I still have 5 sols from last time—maybe that’ll be enough for the bus? Thanks. Brigitte

hi—the airport isn’t very big, it’s obviously not Lima’s. So at the latest you’ll be out around 10:00–10:15 PM. That said, I can’t figure out if there’s any public transport from the airport besides what’s on the Wikipedia page. Either way, the airport isn’t far from downtown and Plaza de Armas. I’d recommend taking a taxi if you arrive in the evening instead of a bus, unless it’s a shuttle—it’s safer.

Thanks Mathews, Oh right, I forgot... I'm a woman! And it's not safe at night... I'll skip the bus this time. Thanks again, Brigitte

Hi Yllen13, Taking a taxi right outside the airport is the best option, and you just give the name of your chosen hotel. We stayed at Hotel Casa Grande... but I’m not sure if it still exists. Have a great trip!

Hi there, and thanks for your reply—but I’m traveling on a tight budget. I found a hotel 700 m from the airport for 60 soles (I already stayed there in 2012). I’ll take the bus the next day. Thanks again

The taxi costs 8 to 10 soles, it's not exactly a fortune either. You just need to leave the airport to grab one on the street to pay the real price ;-)
