J'ai demandé un congé prolongé d'une année et du coup je vais résilier mon assurance maladie en Suisse. Mon idée est de m'installer à Koh Phangan, j'arriverai début septembre 2010.
J'ai pas mal surfé sur internet pour trouver une assurance maladie-accidents, celle qui me semble la plus intéressante est AVi Assistance, mais c'est tout de même assez cher ...
Mon contrat de travail sera suspendu dès le 1er septembre, mais je vais rester assurée pendant 30 jours par mon employeur pour les risques accident, ce qui me donne déjà un peu de sécurité pour les premiers temps. Pour la suite est-ce possible de contracter une assurance maladie-accident directement sur place ? Si oui, quel est le prix (J'aurai 54 ans)? Est-ce une bonne option ?

eh bien moi , j ai lu sur des forums , qu en cas d accident grave et honnereux , BUPA ne payais pas , faisait jouer des clauses ecritent, tres petit ( voir caché, abusives, ) dans les contrats .Une assurance pas cher , payant pour accident grave????
Il y a des assurés qui se font voir leur contrat annulé , s ils sont trop malade ou accident grave , Bupa fait jouer certaines clauses du contrat.
vaut mieux prendre une assurance plus cher et etre sur d etre bien assuré.Prend une assurance suisse!!!! c est plus serieux.
moi meme j avais une assurance Bupa , quand je suis allé en Australie , eh bien en demandant des precisions sur les clauses , ils m ont finalement confirmé quand cas d accident il fallait que je paye de ma poche , puis demander le remboursement. Eh eh comment puis je payer de ma poche en cas d accident grave , en australie!!! c est pour ca que je prend une assurance!! reponse , pas de probleme ont vous rembourse!!! discours de sourd... j ai pris une autre assurance suisse de Bangkok , plus cher , serieux et pas de clauses cachées
avec AVI tu peux partir tranquille , c'est cher mais au moins c'est le top du top . Il ne faut pas oublier tous les problemes de responsabilite civil que l'on peut avoir a l'etranger ( surtout si l'on roule , moto ou voiture ) .
J'ai aussi lu certains commentaires du même "style" que le tien ... J'ai examiné les conditions d'assurance, il y a en effet bcp de restrictions ! En cas d'accident occasionné par la conduite ou comme passager d'une moto ils ne prendraient en charge que la moitié des frais ... et les frais en cas d'hospitalisation dans de grands hôpitaux (ce qui peut être le cas pour un accident grave) comme le Bangkok Hospital par ex. aucune prise en charge ! 🏴☠️

Pour les plus jeunes, le prix est un peu plus attrayant. Mais, en ayant + que 51 ans et avec l'extension aux risques graves (conduite d'une moto d'une cylindrée de moins de 125 cc, indispensable !) cela me reviendrait à 93 Euros par mois ...
De plus, je ne pense pas que la RC couvre les dommages causés aux tiers (ou subis) par les véhicules à moteur, il faut pour cela contracter une assurance auto/moto !
C'est un beau projet que vous envisagez. Je suis justement courtier a Koh Samui pour les residents de samui, Koh Phan ngan et koh tao. Je travaille avec BUPA, mais aussi avec April Mobilite, NZI, Mondial, LMG, Aetna - Goodhealth, AXA....
J interviens aupres des assures pour debloquer les prises en charges ou le rapatriement si necessaire. C'est l avantage d avoir un contact sur place.
Il convient de savoir ce que vous attendez d une assurance sante.
Est ce pour vous ou une famille ?
Voulez vous etes couvert juste en cas d hospitalisation, ou aussi pour la medecine courante (visites medicales, medicaments), ou encore pour les dents .....?
Vous pouvez souscrire une couverture avant votre depart dans votre pays d origine, mais aussi sur place.

Moi, je te conseille de prendre une assurance avant ton départ de Suisse.
Etant en Nouvelle-Zelande, j'ai pris une assu à la CCM, qui est spécialiste de l'assurance en NZ et en Australie; mais ils ont un contrat pour tous les pays du monde aussi. D'ailleurs, c'est celui-ci que j'ai pris, parce qu'il me revenait moins cher que le contrat typiquement néo-zelandais. Je m'en suis tiré pour environ 400 euros l'année. C'est une assurance santé-assitance (raptriement et tout...)- responsabilité civile-accidents et bagages!

En fonction de l age, de vos moyens, de votre nationalite et de vos besoins, certains produits seront mieux adaptes...
Si vous avez un numero de securite sociale francaise, vous pouvez pretendre a adherer a la CFE (caisse des Francais a l etranger), qui est l equivalent de la securite sociale francaise pour les ressortissants expatries a l etranger.
D autre part, vous aurez toujours la possibilite de souscrire a une assurance privee. A Koh Samui, je travaille avec 7 compagnies d assurances, prise en charge dans tous les hopitaux, couverture internationale, assistance rapatriement.
La prime varie avec l age.

Je conseille plutot des compagnies francaises telles que APRIL ou ACS AMI.
Elles proposent des plans specialement concus pour l Asie du Sud Est, et la prime est bien moins chere qu en Europe.

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

I have several chronic conditions (including asthma and related ones), and I’m planning to travel for a year across different countries.
Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...

The suspected origin is contamination in Namibia by jackals.
The contagion seems to be spreading.

It’s the bite that transmits the disease.
There are so-called "furious" forms with aggression, but also forms without aggression.
