Hello
I’m looking for people who might be interested in joining me on one or more self-sufficient treks, no agencies, between Zanskar and Ladakh this summer. My plans: Trek from Songde to Phuktal Gompa (return by hitching on the new road to Padum) Trek from Lingshe to Kanji (hitch to Lingshe using the new Padum–Nimmu road) Trek from Leh to Hundar (Nubra Valley) via Lasermo La Trek from Korzok (Tso Moriri) to Kibber via Parang La, probably after September 10th (there are 3 buses a month on the 10th, 20th, and 30th between Leh and Korzok) I’m pretty used to long-distance treks with a heavy backpack (self-sufficiency is key 😄!) and reasonably fit for my age 😅 (the big 5-0!). Feel free to reach out with any ideas if you’re interested, and we can figure out what’s doable together... Looking forward to hearing from you! Raf

Hi there and happy New Year! I’d love to explore Greece or Austria in August 2026 for ten days.
If anyone’s interested, feel free to get in touch.

Hello!
For the few who’ve traveled to Iran, loved the country, and discovered its incredible thousand-year-old beauty and the amazing kindness of its people—one of the last places still untouched by mass tourism—
I’d have loved to go back, but given the current situation, it’s not possible right now, and likely won’t be for a long time.
In the meantime, a neighboring country, Uzbekistan, definitely deserves a visit!
I discovered it through photo reports, and it reminds me a lot of Iran. So, I’m planning to check it out.
On foot, on horseback, or by car 😄—this time, I’m going with a car 🚗😊😍
I’m looking for an independent, motivated travel companion to explore this seemingly wonderful country.
Who’s in? ⭐
Looking for a travel partner to visit the Azores for 2 to 3 weeks starting around September 14th. Simple hotels or even better, staying with locals, and a rental car to get around freely. Sharing costs, of course. A few easy hikes. Itinerary to be decided together—plenty of room for spontaneity. Good vibes guaranteed!
Hi there,
I’ve already visited Southern India. Next up is Northern India for 2 months, from Gujarat all the way to Delhi, passing through Madhya Pradesh, Kolkata, Bengal, Bihar, Punjab, and Rajasthan. My itinerary is still in the works.
Anyone up for joining me on this little adventure?
See you soon, Brigitte

I'm looking for 4 to 10 adult participants for a road trip starting from Cebu City or Mactan. The tour costs 2,000 €, to be divided by the number of participants. Hotels, meals, and drinks are at your own expense. Ferries and pumpboats are included, but not terminal fees.
This is a 14-day journey visiting more than 7 islands:
Camotes Island Malapascua Island Kalanggaman Island Bantayan Island Negros Iloilo Boracay Island Sumilon Island
That’s where we’ll part ways for those who want to visit Siquijor Island independently.
It’s a great opportunity to explore a large part of the Visayas and make the most of your vacation—unlike many I’ve seen who didn’t. I’ve been married to a Cebuana for 17 years. We have two kids, one of whom was born in Cebu. We live in France and own a house in Cebu that’s unoccupied, like many foreigners married to Filipinas. For those who want to do this tour with kids, I suggest finding the same number of adults so you don’t have to pay for their participation—1 adult = 1 child.
Best regards, and see you soon in Cebu and/or Paris.
David

Hi there, I’m looking for a travel companion (male or female) for a trip to Algeria, including a few days in Kabylie. Preferably someone of Algerian origin or nationality, aged between 50 and 60. It would be for about a week—we can decide on the dates together. Feel free to DM me.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Norma from Paris

Hello,
I’m a 76-year-old "senior" who’s still active and full of energy.
I ski, swim, hike, and keep traveling a lot, including to the other side of the world. My most recent trip: The Philippines (winter 2026).
I’d love to gather a small group of friendly seniors to first plan some short trips in France together. If everything goes well, we could venture farther and for longer.
What matters to me in a foreign country: a change of scenery, trying to understand the locals and their way of life, architectural heritage (cities in particular), and of course the beauty of natural sites. I’m not really into "road trips."
I live in Paris and am available the second half of August and the first week of September (2026). Nothing’s set yet for 2027.
Hope to meet you soon!
Granviajera.
We’re currently three retirees (one man and a couple) looking for one or two people to join us on a road trip through Patagonia by car.
Starting from Concepción in Chile, we’ll head to San Carlos de Bariloche (a possible meet-up point) in Argentina to reach Cabo Vírgenes. Then we’ll return via Route 40, with detours on the Chilean side (Torres del Paine, Lake General Carrera, Coyhaique).
We’ll pass by the Perito Moreno Glacier, Laguna del Desierto, Perito Moreno Park at the foot of San Lorenzo, Jeinemeni Park, Los Alerces Park, and more. A few hikes are planned.
Dates: November 6 to December 15, from Concepción back to Concepción.
Feel free to get in touch! Marc

🚐 Looking for a travel companion for a big adventure! 🌄
For the summer :)
I want to hit the road again like I’ve done before—crossing the United States by car or camper van and living all kinds of unforgettable experiences.
The idea isn’t to follow a rigid itinerary. We’ll go wherever the mood takes us! Discover new places, meet people, visit cities, national parks, offbeat spots, and just enjoy the moment.
For accommodation, I’m open to anything:
• Couchsurfing (if it still exists!)
• Tent
• Truck stops
• Airbnb
• Small motels
• Or any other option that comes up along the way
I’ve got several weeks, maybe even months, ahead of me. No pressure, no packed schedule. We’ll drive 8 to 10 hours if we feel like it, stay a few days in a place we love, then move on. Why not extend the adventure all the way to Mexico?
I’m 40, a cheerful, spontaneous, and easygoing woman. I’m looking for someone who loves adventure, is flexible, open-minded, and wants to enjoy the trip without overcomplicating things.
The goal: collect memories, live unique experiences, and fully embrace the freedom of the road.
If this adventure speaks to you, drop me a line!
🌄🚐✨
Hi everyone,
I’m looking to share a little 10–15-day bike trip in August (dates are flexible, but before the last week of the holidays). I’ve already done several bike trips (Serbia, Romania, the Pyrenees, Massif Central, Creuse, etc.) and have all the gear I need. The goal is mainly the journey itself—discovering beautiful landscapes (I take a lot of photos with a proper camera 😊) and getting a break from civilization. Major roads? Not my thing! I’d rather head to the mountains, maybe tackle a few cols, but it’s not about performance. If you’re up for sharing a trip, maybe even abroad, feel free to get in touch!
Have a great day, everyone!

hi everyone,
I’m planning a two-month trip to China in early 2027 and already have a pretty detailed itinerary I’ve put together through my research. Of course, it can be adjusted based on interests and encounters, but the main outline is set.
I love beautiful landscapes, lively cities, meeting people, local culture, and places a little off the beaten path. I’m pretty adaptable—I enjoy comfort but can also stay in simpler accommodations if the experience is worth it.
I’m looking for one or more curious, open-minded people who’d like to share all or part of this trip, in good spirits and at everyone’s own pace. The idea isn’t to do everything together at all costs, but to share discoveries, journeys, visits, and great memories.
If this sounds like you, feel free to message me! Looking forward to chatting and, who knows, setting off on an adventure together! 😊

Hello,
Will there be anyone cycling in South Korea in September? Will there be anyone cycling in southern Japan in October?
I’m planning to arrive in Seoul at the very beginning of September, cross the country, then take a boat to Japan at the end of September. My route isn’t set yet, but I won’t go any farther north than Osaka. I’ll be heading back at the end of October.
I’ll be camping or bivouacking, with some hikes here and there. I’ll be doing between 0 and 100 km a day—it all depends on the climbs, the people I meet, the landscapes, and the weather.
It’d be great to share part of the journey with other cyclists. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Christine, 58, from Belfort, Franche-Comté, currently on a long break to travel.

Hi,
I’m posting this message not for myself but for my daughter. She doesn’t really have the time to do it and, to be honest, she’s not too hopeful either. If a female traveler is interested, I’ll of course pass along my daughter’s contact details.
The Message: I’m looking for a female travel companion for a 10-day trip around Southeast Asia in October 2026. I’ve already been to Cambodia and Myanmar, as well as some Thai islands. My first idea was to visit northern Thailand (around Chiang Mai), but I’m open to any other plans in Asia. I’ve traveled a lot with my parents or friends, but this time, no one’s available. I feel comfortable traveling alone, but from experience, I love being able to share those discovery moments with someone else. I’m a dynamic and sporty young woman, and a firefighter by profession. Don’t hesitate to get in touch! Alison

Hello World.
I’m a retired globetrotter, and I’ve just returned from a wonderful trip: Beijing, Pingyao, Chengde, Xi’an—nothing but beauty, goodness, and happiness.
This time, I’d like to "do" the South in October (autumn = beauty, or so I’ve heard): { Shanghai - Guilin - Yangshuo - Chengdu - Chongqing - Zhangjiajie - Shanghai } in about 18–20 days.
This is just a rough draft—everything’s flexible.
I usually travel solo, staying in 1- or 2-star hotels and eating at local restaurants.
But I’m thinking, with one (or more) travel companion(s)—nice and open-minded—it might be even more enjoyable? Plus, it’d let us split the cost of any guides, share our thoughts and photos, and avoid silly mistakes.
What do you think?
Hi there,
I’m 40 and in good shape with strong endurance. I’m at an intermediate level in climbing (D- routes) and even better at biking and trekking. I’m looking for a partner for a biking trip to Tajikistan with stops for hiking or climbing. The idea is to have a sporty but also cultural trip, taking time to meet locals along the way. Get in touch if you’re interested! !

Planning a bike road trip from Scandinavia, preparing a coastal voyage along Portugal’s shores to Santiago de Compostela, or taking one of the many routes leading to Compostela...
That’s right—did you know you don’t *have* to walk to experience the adventure of the Camino?
The spirit of travel stays open: hiking, biking, sailing (on a sailboat I can make available for the project), slow wandering, or a more ambitious long-term journey. What matters most is sharing, discovery, and the desire to build a great adventure together.
I’ve already been lucky enough to hike with friends—men and women—I met on this forum, especially in Mercantour Park. Those encounters led to amazing memories and real travel friendships.
If the idea of brainstorming a project, swapping route ideas, or preparing a shared adventure appeals to you, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Ready to start planning your next trip... and maybe even a long-term adventure!

Hi everyone! I’m planning a trip to Latin America starting in November, beginning with Colombia. I’m 35, from Lyon, and I’m looking for someone in the 24–35 age range—location doesn’t matter. I’m open to getting to know each other before we set off. I’ve got travel experience and I’m a seasoned traveler. I’m planning to go for several months, mixing adventure with chill vibes: hiking, mountains, beaches, volcanoes, cities, and even some volunteering through WWOOFing.
Hi everyone,
I’m planning a motorcycle road trip to Armenia and Georgia in September 2026 or May 2027. I’m looking for one or more riders (male or female) who’d like to explore these countries with me.
Along the way, we’ll visit Cappadocia, the capitals Yerevan, Tbilisi, Sofia, Skopje, and other cities—we can finalize the route and roadbook later.
You’ll need to be experienced with long motorcycle trips, as we’ll cover around 7,000 km over 5 or 6 weeks (or more, depending on how much time we spend sightseeing).
See you soon!

Hey fellow adventurers!
I’m planning a trip to the Philippines and Japan and I’m looking for someone interested in traveling as a duo.
More of a road-trip style with a bit of comfort.
Estimated duration:
Philippines: 4 to 6 weeks
Japan: 3 to 4 weeks
Ideally January–February for the Philippines, then March–April for Japan.
Nothing’s set in stone—everything’s open for discussion! !
Avid bike-travel enthusiast looking for a senior teammate
from ARLON (Belgium) to TRONDHEIM.
Nights in campsites, bivouacs....
Departure late June - early July.
I suggest a one-week ride from Paris to Arlon to get to know each other and plan the route, duration, etc.
No athletic feat (50–70 km/day, or 4–6 hours/day), just riding at the pace of our encounters and desires.
Interested in this project? Don’t hesitate! Contact me!
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Marie
Hi everyone! We see some amazing plans and also posts that go unanswered despite being for pretty popular destinations. We want to liven things up to help you travel more often with companions and in complete safety. Let us know what’s missing for you!
What’s your main hurdle when it comes to using this section?
Fear of not sharing the same interests as the other person. Difficulty managing money and bookings as a group. Lack of seriousness (people who don’t respond or back out). Time spent organizing the itinerary from A to Z.
What would help you the most to take the plunge?
A system of "verified" profiles (identity/trust).[/li> Pre-built itineraries by the forum where you just need to join in.[/li>

Hello,
I’m a 70-year-old retiree looking for two or three travel companions to visit Sicily, which I haven’t been to, in May or June. I’m also planning to visit Vietnam in September. I love exploring, learning, and meeting new people, and I’m adaptable, but it’s not easy to find people with the same interests. Team spirit is important to me. I travel on a mid-range budget. Looking forward to your comments. You can reach me at: maryse.21 @orange.fr Best regards,

I'm planning a trip to Brazil as winter approaches, around late October to early November 2026. I don’t have exact dates since I recently retired, so I can stay until mid-December if needed. I’m looking for a travel companion (male or female) for this journey—think relaxed mode, pousadas with locals, parks, seaside, culture, and music.
I’ve already explored the north, like Recife and Fortaleza. What I found most challenging was communicating with locals since I don’t speak Portuguese, and not everyone speaks English. I’m trying to learn now, but the accent isn’t easy!!!! This country is huge, and I’d love to discover the south. The idea is to arrive in São Paulo (without staying long—I’m not a big fan of large cities) and take a flight to Iguazu, then a bus to Paraty and Ilha Grande to enjoy the spots. After that, a bit of Rio is unavoidable, but I’d like to explore off-the-beaten-path places with a guide. To finish, Salvador de Bahia, with a focus on Morro de São Paulo and Boipeba. Maybe a return via Salvador—TAP offers that route. Nothing’s set in stone; we can discuss everything together.
I just got back from Madagascar, where I spent the winter (a place I know well), and I’ve got quite a few trips under my belt. Feel free to email me so we can chat, then we can call or meet—I’m based in Toulouse and can host you.
patricia.wagner31@sfr.fr Have a great day! Vejo você em breve

Hello everyone!
Who wants to join me for 3 weeks in French Polynesia in September 2027?
I’m passionate about snorkeling and dreaming of lagoons, especially swimming with whales (that’s why I’m going in September).
I already have a rough idea of which islands to visit and explore—we’ll just need to fine-tune it, of course.
I’m not super keen on long hikes, but I do enjoy a good stroll.
A few visits here and there, discovering local customs, crafts, songs, and dances, etc...
Accommodation with locals or in cozy guesthouses—no overwater hotels or fancy restaurants. The famous *roulottes* (food trucks) will do the trick, or eating with locals depending on where we stay. Small, typical restaurants are great too.
Renting a car or scooter if necessary (the catch is I’ve never ridden a scooter before… not helpful, lol).
We’ll plan the trip together to make sure it aligns with our dreams and desires.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime journey, and I’m excited to share it, exchange ideas and impressions, and just enjoy it all in harmony, with conviviality and respect.
Here’s my message in a bottle… looking forward to hearing from you!
Hello everyone!
I’m heading off to explore the Lot region in a week. Starting in Figeac, then making my way up to the northern part of the department before heading back down toward Cahors, and finally setting off toward Villefranche-de-Rouergue...
I’ll be there for a good week, sleeping on the mattress in the back of my van. My priority is quiet, natural, and peaceful spots. I’m self-sufficient with a camping stove, food and drinks, and a backpack for hiking and visiting small villages and nature trails...
If any of you are available and up for sharing a moment together—a meal, a beer, a hike, a visit, etc.—and you’re from the area or want to show me a stunning spot in the Lot that I might not know about, I’m in!
For those who don’t know me, I’m a 41-year-old guy, pretty sporty and passionate about nature and adventure!
Don’t hesitate to reach out privately! Looking forward to great encounters... 🚐🥾

Hi there,
I’m traveling solo to Corsica on Tuesday, June 9, leaving from Toulon and arriving in Propriano the next day (June 10).
I’m offering to share my crossing—of course, you’d need to book your own ferry ticket as a foot passenger—but I can give you a ride and share my cabin (twin beds). We can discuss the price. 😊
After that, I’m heading to Porto-Vecchio, so I can drop you off there if you’d like.
I’ve booked a spot at a campsite where I rented a hard-sided cabin from June 10 to 18. If you’re interested, we could even share the week together.
Have a great day.
