Hi everyone,

I’ve got a full-day layover in Ibiza—arriving at 10 AM and leaving at 10 PM. Could you tell me if there are any local shuttles available when we disembark, without having to take the MSC buses? Do you know of a reliable car rental company?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, No local shuttles. The MSC shuttle costs 13 €. Otherwise, expect at least a 45-minute walk.

Hi there, Last year I took a Costa cruise with a stop in Ibiza, and there was a local bus that took us right to the old town for—if I remember correctly—4.50 € round trip.

Hi, There are small ferry boats called “aquabus” every 30 minutes for 4 € round-trip, and a bit farther away, the city bus for 5 €. When you get off the boat, there’s floor markings (discreet little aquabus triangles)—it’s a very short walk. The tourist office is right after you disembark, before the aquabus and bus stops.

Hi, Do you happen to remember the bus line number? Thanks

Hi everyone, I’m just back from another Mediterranean cruise and stopped over in Ibiza again! There’s no bus number, but right outside the port there’s a city bus labeled "shuttle"—it’s 5 € for a round trip (the Costa shuttle bus is 12 €). Depending on which dock you arrive at, it’s about 150–200 meters away 😊. Happy cruising!

Thanks so much! Do you know if it's the same price for kids?

Sorry, I didn’t really pay attention, but I think I saw a price 😊. Anyway, it was way cheaper than the transfer organized by the boat

Hi there,

Just a few hundred meters from the ship, under the big tent that serves as the ferry embarkation terminal, there are several car rental places. 70 € for a small car for the day, insurance included, with no prior booking.

Maybe a bit cheaper at Europcar if you book in advance? But no booking, no car.
