Hey everyone,

I’ve just set up an expedition group for those who love off-the-beaten-path travel. This year, I’m focusing on the Pamir region, a place I already know well.

The first leg would be driving from Bishkek to Osh around June 10, in a brand-new UAZ 452 (the legendary Soviet van). This trip will be slow, over 4 days, with several stops along the way. I’m not charging for the ride—just sharing costs (fuel, accommodation, food, etc.). We can also camp along the way if you’re up for it.

A bit about me: I’m Cory, a Belgian traveler, nomadic for 12 years, passionate about hiking, URBEX, cultures, and specializing in remote places.

After this first leg, for those who are interested, I’ll be on the mythical Pamir Highway and the Wakhan Valley from late June to late September (Osh – Dushanbe and Dushanbe – Osh). There are still spots available for these expeditions—I’ve got several dates open.

Hello! I’m Mélanie, I’m 49. Since my partner isn’t available, I’m looking for a female travel companion between 35 and 60 to join me in the Shetland Islands. Traveling alone is less fun. I’ll be going for 12 or 13 days between May 9 and May 24, 2025. I plan to fly to Sumburgh and then rent a vehicle to get around the islands. I’d like to stay in B&Bs or with locals, and if possible, I’d prefer to have my own room (I snore and don’t want anyone to hold it against me!). But if that’s not possible, we’ll just have to arm ourselves with earplugs! If the weather isn’t too bad, I’d like to do some easy hikes (around 3 to 4 hours of walking per day). I’ll go at my own pace—I love sketching in my travel journal, so I’ll take breaks sometimes. And if we can go pet some ponies and sheep, I’ll be in heaven. What else? Oh right, I speak English, I’ve never driven on the left, and I prefer going to bed early so I can wake up early and make the most of the day. I live in the Paris area and I’m available to meet interested people if they’re nearby too. I’m embarking on a long-awaited dream trip—Canada!

For my first visit to this incredible country, I’ve set my sights on Gaspésie and the city of Quebec.

I’m a huge fan of hiking in nature, and I’m also passionate about Canadian history and its diverse cultures, especially the history and cultures of the First Nations. My trip will be a mix of nature and culture.

I’ll be traveling from August 3rd to 24th, flying from Paris to Quebec City.

I’m looking for one or more travel companions (ages 30–40) who are also planning to spend 3 weeks in Gaspésie this summer (unfortunately, my dates aren’t flexible). The idea is to rent a car together and explore this beautiful region! :)

I’m considering entering Nepal overland (I’ve done it before, and it’s a great experience). Then, I’ll be trekking in Annapurna National Park for the third time! So, it’s open for pure bliss!

Hello fellow adventurers! :) I’m writing this little message to the community and adventurers because I’m thinking of heading to Morocco (a country I know well) for a week in February (around the 6th or 10th, for about a week) to climb Mount Toubkal in the Atlas Mountains. I’m used to hiking and backpacking, but this would be my first 4,000m peak. I think the mountain landscapes are even more stunning in winter. I know it’s necessary to hire a guide for this ascent. Has anyone here already climbed it in winter? If so, any feedback or tips? Also, if anyone wants to join me on this adventure, I’d love the company! :) The idea would be to rent a car (around 10–15 € per day) and do some other hikes in the Marrakech area too. I own a camper van (an old "Traffic" model) and would like to travel to Italy this summer with my kids (8 and 11 years old). I haven’t planned the route yet because I’m pretty open about the region (the lakes? Amalfi Coast? Tuscany?) and the dates (July or August, probably around 3 weeks). We’re used to road-tripping, but we were a group of four before, so this will be our first time as a trio! I’d love to find other camper van or van travelers to join us for extra safety and to share the adventure.

Currently, I’m finishing writing a novel. I’m also looking for partners for the "Human Source" project I’m developing. It’s about collecting and sharing stories of human transformations, moments of awareness, and offering tools to feel guided through these changes. I also love speaking English.

I’ve been to Corsica once (Bonifacio) and Italy once (Tuscany), and I have great memories of both. I’d love to go back to one of these places, but this time on a road trip (with my car).

I enjoy walking (nothing too intense like 8-hour hikes), wandering around nature or cities at random, local crafts and specialties, a little beach time, lots of food and culinary discoveries, meeting people, music, and dancing (Latin).

This is the first time I’m posting here to find a travel buddy—up until now, I’ve mostly traveled solo or met up with friends already on location. It could be a great way to share the experience. I’m open to some planning to outline the itinerary, but also leaving room to adjust based on what feels good in the moment or any opportunities that come up. So, I’m thinking of booking accommodations last-minute sometimes—Airbnb, guesthouses, hotels, camping, etc.
