3 retirees looking for 1 or 2 people for a month-long Patagonia road trip
We’re currently three retirees (one man and a couple) looking for one or two people to join us on a road trip through Patagonia by car.

Starting from Concepción in Chile, we’ll head to San Carlos de Bariloche (a possible meet-up point) in Argentina to reach Cabo Vírgenes. Then we’ll return via Route 40, with detours on the Chilean side (Torres del Paine, Lake General Carrera, Coyhaique).

We’ll pass by the Perito Moreno Glacier, Laguna del Desierto, Perito Moreno Park at the foot of San Lorenzo, Jeinemeni Park, Los Alerces Park, and more. A few hikes are planned.

Dates: November 6 to December 15, from Concepción back to Concepción.

Feel free to get in touch! Marc

Looking for travel companions for a trip to Chile in November 2026
Hi there, I’m planning a trip to Chile in November and I’m currently organizing it. Over about 17/18 days, I’d like to visit Santiago, Valparaíso, the Atacama Desert, and Easter Island. Atacama and Easter Island would be with an agency (I’m in touch with 4 local agencies—2 called me today). For the rest—Santiago and Valparaíso—I think we can organize it ourselves with booked hotels. Plus, I speak Spanish fluently. I’d love to find 3 or 4 people around my age, so if you’re interested, don’t hesitate to reach out.

PS: In my original message, I mentioned that Atacama and Easter Island would be with an agency. Correction: we can plan everything without going through an agency for the whole trip. Of course, for the various excursions in Atacama and on Easter Island, we’ll need to book them through an agency. (I have the list of excursions, schedules, and prices.) Best regards, Patricia

Travel Companions in Chile for Hiking-Trekking-Ski Mountaineering
Hi! I’m Romane and I’m passionate about mountain sports! !😎

I’ll be in Chile from March to the end of August and I’m looking for travel companions, especially to hit the mountains—whether it’s hiking, trekking, fast-hiking, ski mountaineering, or even mountain biking. I’d love to explore Chilean and Argentine Patagonia, the Carretera Austral, the Lake District to climb all the volcanoes, the Santiago area around Cajón del Maipo, and why not Peru or Bolivia—I’ve got tons of plans! 😛

Here’s what I’ve got with me: - A pretty solid hardtail MTB - Ski touring gear—crampons, ice axes, avalanche beacon, shovel, probe - Bivouac/camping gear - Trail and hiking equipment

If you’re up for exploring a part of the country with me, let me know! I’m open to any way of traveling: road trips, bikepacking, hitchhiking, buses, etc.

PS: I’m usually in decent shape, so unless you’re Kilian Jornet, we should be able to tackle some awesome outings together! 😛

Patagonia November/January 2026 - Hikes & Treks
Hi there, I’m heading to Patagonia from mid-November to mid-January. I’m looking for travel buddies who are used to backpacking in a simple, go-with-the-flow way: long hikes, treks, and of course some sightseeing. From Buenos Aires down to Ushuaia, then back up to Santiago de Chile. On a budget-friendly basis with youth hostels, camping, maybe some bivouacking, and occasionally a bit of comfort too. The cost of living is high, both in Argentina and Chile: you’ll need to plan for a significant budget for two months. I’m bringing my small tent, sleeping mat, and sleeping bag—all weighing just 2 kg—and a minimalist backpack for more freedom. My flights depart from Basel; I live in Belfort. I’m 57, passionate about mountain sports, and I also love cycling around the world. Looking forward to sharing this trip! Christine

Travel companion with no time constraints for Peru/Chile
Hello, I’m a young, active retiree looking for someone to join me in Latin America without the obligation of being together 24/7. I’m leaving on 25/09 for Cusco in Peru, then planning to head down to Chile. If the date is too soon, we could meet up there instead.

I used to travel independently with my partner. We’ve been to Peru, Bolivia twice, Guatemala, Ecuador, Cuba, Ethiopia…

Now, I’m on my own and would prefer to share the experience rather than travel solo. I last visited Peru 13 years ago, so I’m excited to revisit it and explore it differently this time. If you’re interested… see you soon! Brigitte

Road trip on both sides of the Andes
After traveling through Argentina and Chile, I’m heading back next year to visit friends. It’ll be during the southern hemisphere summer of 2026/27.

Still, I’m planning to explore quite a few nature spots where you really need a vehicle, so it’d be best to have 4 or even 5 people. Dates and duration are still flexible depending on everyone’s availability. You can also just join for a leg of the trip. The main route follows Argentina’s Ruta 40 from Cabo Vírgenes to La Quiaca, and then we can play leapfrog with the Andes. The plan is still coming together, so it’ll take a bit of time—get in touch if you’re interested!

Looking forward to chatting.
