Good evening, cruise friends! I’m planning my Japan cruise with Costa.

Is it more worthwhile to book excursions before departure? With MSC, yes, because you save 15%, but what about with Costa?

For those who’ve already done this cruise, do you have any tips or recommendations, please? We’re staying 1.5 days before and 3 days after in Hong Kong. Thanks in advance! Hi everyone, I’m back from my 10-day cruise to Japan and South Korea and wanted to share my experience. Before leaving, I searched the forums but found very few firsthand accounts of this kind of trip.

Just so you know, a cruise isn’t some slow, easy trip—every port stop is an adventure!

We flew from Marseille with Lufthansa via Frankfurt, with a short 1.5-hour layover that was just enough, though we still had to sprint to make our connection. We’d booked seats with extra legroom, which was great—we were next to premium economy, so we had a good spot. The airline hadn’t sold all the premium seats and kept making announcements to attract takers, but no discounts!

After about 12 hours, we arrived at Tokyo Haneda feeling pretty wiped since we hadn’t slept. The time difference is 7 hours, so we landed in late morning in Japan. We took the free rail shuttle to central Tokyo. The entry process went smoothly thanks to the Japan web app. For the subway, we’d registered our Suica card, but we hadn’t anticipated how tricky transfers could be when stations don’t always have elevators—bit of a hassle, but still cheap! Navigating the subway is super easy, though. We’d bought a SIM card on Amazon beforehand, so everything was smooth.

We’d booked a room at the Grand Hazelmon Hotel, which is near the Imperial Palace. It’s a quiet business district in the evenings and well-connected by subway.

I’d opted for a half-room, so I was worried about space, but it was fine—no smaller than a London or Paris hotel room! Breakfast was included and really good.

We even had dinner there one night—dishes were around 9 € at a 4- or 5-star hotel, so we didn’t hold back.

In the afternoon, we visited the Imperial Palace. You can’t go inside, but it’s a green oasis—surprisingly peaceful despite Tokyo’s 36 million people—and very secure.

Hi everyone! We’d love to share some great tips for excursions with French speakers. If you’re on the same cruise, I’d be interested! We’ll be spending a few days in Tokyo and Seoul. Please let me know if you’ll be on the Norwegian Spirit or if you’ve already done this cruise—we’d love to hear about the best places to visit since the guides aren’t very cruise-friendly. Bonjour, Nous partons du 3/6 au 16/06/19 pour la croisière Costa « Orient Japon et Corée du Sud ». Nos escales sont Tokyo- Kobe- Jeju (Corée du sud) -Kagoshima- Busan (Corée du Sud) Kochi-Shingu et retour Tokyo. Est-ce que d’autres Français ou parlant Français font cette croisière, SVP. Ou est-ce que des personnes ont déjà fait cette croisière ? Car nous regardons sur le site Costa pour les excursions et elles sont presque toutes en Anglais. Nous sommes donc très interrogatifs ??? et avons beaucoup de difficultés pour trouver quelque chose. Merci aux personnes qui pourraient nous donner des renseignements soit : pour des excursions avec Costa ou directement par nous-mêmes. Avec nos remerciements pour vos infos et aides.

Bonjour, Nous partons sur le Voyager of the seas que nous connaissons déjà mais pour une destination totalement inconnue:le Japon. Quelqu'un a-t-il déjà fait une croisière autour de ce pays? Est-il possible d'organiser des excursions ( dans certains pays, les touristes sont attendus dès la sortie du port et même quelquefois du bateau) ou faut-il acheter les excursions proposées? Nous parons le 28 août, car nous passons voir les enfants installés à Beijing . Voici les escales: Toyama Saporo Tokyo Nagasaki et Busan en Corée que nous conseillez vous comme visites? Bonjour, Quelqu'un du forum fait t'il parti de cette croisière ou a t'il déjà fait ce circuit ? Est t'il possible de nous donner des info sur les escales Merci

Je part en croisière sur le "Legend of the Seas" en septembre prochain.

La première escale est Séoul (Inchéon) J'ai beau chercher sur Google earth, je ne "vois" pas le port où les navires de la classe "Legend" peuvent accoster. J'aimerais savoir l'adresse du port ou les coordonnées du port.

Évidemment je cherche ceci pour trouver le moyen de me déplacer vers le centre ville de Séoul en utilisant métros où trains.

Quelqu'un connait la réponse ?
