I know the company doesn’t release it until 8 weeks before departure. I like to plan ahead and avoid any unpleasant surprises.

hi there, a group of friends and I are going on a cruise at the end of June with CFC in Norway. I’d love to get some info on the different stops we’ll be making. Most of them are one-day stops (from around 10 AM to 8 PM on average). Here are the stops: Andalsnes, Trondheim, Honningsvåg, Alta, Hellesylt, Sandane, Austefjorden.

Also, does anyone know if the boat sticks to the arrival time in Dunkirk for catching tickets to head back south? We’ll plan a buffer just in case.

Hello, We’ll be sailing on the Renaissance with CFC to southern Norway from July 4 to 11, 2026, departing from Dunkirk (the cruise was booked through "Planète Croisière"). When entering some personal details or pre-selecting options on the CFC website, I’m wondering about the "optional" categories for drinks and WiFi. I’m actually a bit surprised by these extra charges, as we weren’t used to them on other cruises (Australis in Patagonia; Hurtigruten’s Coastal Express in Norway and Alaska; Rivages du Monde in the Arctic or on the Douro River; a Nile river cruise in Egypt), where we sometimes had access to basic drinks at meals and free WiFi when near land. Anyway, for those who’ve already taken a CFC cruise on the Renaissance, could you share some advice? Specifically about the most basic drink package, called "Fraîcheur" (238 € for two), which doesn’t seem to be described anywhere. The "Premium" package seems excessive (490 € for two for the week) for light drinkers. As for WiFi, it’s 10 € per day per person. While I find that price acceptable for parking our car in Dunkirk, it feels overpriced here (especially since it was free on the Nordlys "Coastal Express" just 3 or 4 years ago). So, I’d love to hear from experienced cruisers who’ve been on this ship! Looking forward to seeing the excursion prices, which should be available soon! 😐

Hi there, we’re planning a trip to Norway next June. Since my partner gets vertigo, renting a car is out of the question. So, we’re thinking of doing the Bergen to Kirkenes route by cruise—6 nights, 7 days—with either Hurtigruten or Havila. Is this journey as amazing as it sounds? Is one provider better than the other?

I’ve wanted to take this Norway cruise for a very long time. The first time I booked it was in July 2020 with Azamara. Unfortunately, it was canceled, as everyone remembers. When I tried to book it again, the prices (already a bit high with Azamara) had simply doubled. So, since then, I’ve been keeping an eye out every year for any opportunities...

The last time we sailed with Princess was eleven years ago, and things didn’t go very well. I came back pretty unhappy with their service and quite disappointed. Despite the $600 they gave me as credit for a future cruise, I’d never set foot on one of their ships again.

But this time, the opportunity arose—a fantastic itinerary with lots of stops, a reasonable price for 16 nights (I’ll share the details in the conclusion), and a ship that’s not too big, so to speak, with only 3,000 passengers. I’m not expecting much from the cruise line this time and am boarding the ship with low expectations beyond the itinerary.

Princess has introduced an app to download before the cruise. It’s essential because online check-in is no longer available, and the agency doesn’t send a travel journal. Everything is done through the app. After completing the check-in on the app, we only know that we’ll need to pick up our key, the Medallion, at embarkation by following the blue line in the terminal and presenting our passport.



Up until our departure, the weather forecast for the coming week in Norway is disastrous—rain, rain, and more rain. It was pretty much the same two years ago before our Iceland cruise, and in the end, the weather turned out fine.

Hi there, I’ve put a deposit down for the Norwegian fjords cruise on the Preziosa in August 2025. I didn’t go for the drinks package at 1300 € for two for fifteen days—it seems a bit steep, especially since I don’t drink wine, just a few cocktails, and no fizzy drinks like Coke or Fanta. Could anyone share the drink price list on the ship, please? Also, I couldn’t find the prices for the excursions on this cruise, just the descriptions. Hi, We’re leaving on June 20th for a cruise to Denmark. The ship’s excursions to the North Cape from the port of Honningsvåg are fully booked. Does anyone have the contact info for a taxi that could take us there and show us around at the same time, since we’ve got some time to spare? Or any info on a bus that does a circuit? Hello! We’re heading out on a cruise from Copenhagen soon, and I’d love to know how to get from the central train station to the MSC Poesia’s embarkation port using public transport. How do we get from the ship to downtown Oslo? What’s there to do in Eidfjord? I’ll admit I visited Copenhagen and Oslo a long time ago, so I’m guessing the ships might’ve changed their docking spots by now 😅

Hi there, By sheer chance, a family housewarming in Brussels gave us the opportunity to depart from Zeebrugge for our first experience with CFC, allowing us to discover ports we didn’t know (which has become rare). After some questions before departure while browsing the forums, we discovered this company with great pleasure. Of course, luck may have played a particularly favorable part: dream weather, a sea as calm as a lake, and boarding and disembarking almost as if the ship were reserved just for us, since during our departure from Zeebrugge, only a small number of passengers were taking advantage of the unoccupied cabins from the previous cruise ending in Le Havre. As a result, we couldn’t get a suite, but our balcony cabin was very functional, with plenty of storage and a whirlpool bath we thoroughly enjoyed. Admittedly, the carpet was a bit worn, but it wasn’t a big deal. Having a large enough table allowed us to have breakfast in the cabin (our usual habit) in excellent conditions. The ship, a reasonable size, was pleasant, in great condition, and had many comfortable lounges. A large enclosed and heated space with a pool, jacuzzi, and deck chairs offered a calm atmosphere without intrusive activities (which is rare). I won’t mention the entertainment since we barely participated, but I think there was plenty of choice, including a "special bridge" activity. The restaurant had a lovely setting, with quick service and particularly attentive staff, reminding us of cruises from the past. The food was good quality and well-presented, though portions were quite small—something big eaters might regret. We loved the charm of an old-fashioned theater with comfortable seats and a table for drinks. The shows were fairly high quality, though opinions may vary. They catered mainly to a French-speaking audience, which is quite rare, and featured a live orchestra. The excursions seemed reasonably priced for what they offered, but we didn’t participate since we prefer organizing things ourselves. To sum up, we were pleasantly surprised by this "old little ship" with a mostly French-speaking, very attentive staff, all in a great atmosphere.

We’ve booked the CFC Viking Legends cruise (departing on 03/31/25), and the excursions have just been posted on the CFC website. What a disappointment... Stop in Copenhagen: 2 excursions offered, one of which includes +1.5 hours of walking Stop in Oslo: 2 excursions, one of which is a hike Stop in Sandnes (Stavanger): 2 excursions, one of which is a hike Lysekil (Sweden): 1 excursion, same as in Kristiansand and Zeebrugge.

We hesitated to book without knowing the excursions in advance, but the itinerary interested us. We were expecting more options for excursions... Since the ship leaves the day before from Zeebrugge, let’s hope there’s still space for the excursions. I’ll share our experience after we return from this first CFC discovery. MUM49

Which cruise... and what to visit for 10 days

Hi there, Is it possible to help me choose between two MSC cruises to Norway? The first one: departs from Copenhagen, then Hellesylt, Nordfjordeid, Flåm, and finally Kiel. bonjour, je suis très tentée par une croisière Hurtigruten 13 j en février 2021 intitulée " la magie des aurores boréales" sur le MS Trollfjord Bergen-Cap Nord-Bergen. j'hésite avec une autre de 13j également qui s'appelle : "à la recherche des aurores boréales" Bergen-Kirkernes-Bergen. Quelqu'un peut -il m'aider a faire mon choix. Au niveau des cabines comment choisir pas trop cher mais avec une vue dégagée ? Merci pour vos conseils.

Celà va permettre en particulier à Hurtigruten de lancer des croisières (uniquement je crois pour les passagers de nationalité allemande) au départ de Hambourg avec navigation scénique le long de la côte norvégienne, et sorties en zodiac ou kayak (sur un bateau de 530 places rempli a mi-capacité, donc environ 250 passagers). Ça me semble difficilement intéressant avec des bateaux plus gros comme ceux de MSC ou Costa, qui misent essentiellement sur les excursions.

Les rotations "normales" de l'Express-Cotier d'Hurtigruten ont repris mi-juin, avec seulement 4 bateaux pour l'instant, et uniquement avec des passagers autorisés à entrer en Norvège (donc Norvégiens, Danois, Islandais, Finlandais).

Je profite de l'internet Idbus pour ouvrir un post "retour de croisière" alors que nous quittons juste Amsterdam. Dans la mesure où nous étions plusieurs membres VF chacun pourra enrichir ce post avec son expérience.

Pour notre part nous avons bien apprécié la croisière effectuée sur un Costa Fortuna vieillissant mais encore fringant :) Nous saluons la gentillesse de l'équipage, la durée des escales correctes et permettant normalement de profiter des sites même par soi-même et un certain effort culinaire que croyons révolu sur Costa !

Le premier jour en mer et le dernier sont idéaux pour se poser et profiter sereinement de la croisière. Malgré un temps mitigé, nous avons pu profiter de chaque escale pour se balader et compléter nos deux premières expériences des fjords de la Norvège.

Je me tiens donc à votre disposition pour vous renseigner de mon mieux si vous cherchez des renseignements sur l'organisation de votre croisière en Norvège.

Bonjour à tous Je viens de réserver une croisière pour le 10 mai 20121 dans les fjords et j’ai pour la première fois opté pour le yacht club (je prenais d’habitude « Auréa »). J’ai retenu la cabine 16001 face à la proue. J’aimerai avoir le ressenti de certains membres sur 1) le yacht club 2) sur les cabines balcons face à la proue (j’ai toujours eu des cabines sur bâbord ou tribord) Merci d’avance pour vos commentaires

Bonjour à tous, On a réservé une croisière dans les fjords l'année prochaine et j'aimerais savoir les excursions que nous devons absolument faire. Voici notre itinéraire : ALESUND-HONNINGSVAG-TROMSO-TRONDHEIM-MOLDE-FLAM. À savoir que nous serons avec un enfant de moins de 3 ans. La compagnie Hurtigruten vient de mettre en place une offre de report sans frais pour tous les voyages partant jusqu'au 30 juin 2020, aussi bien l'Express Côtier de Norvège que les voyages d'expédition (voyages déjà achetés ou voyages achetés d'ici fin avril 2020).

Si vous voulez modifier votre voyage, vous pouvez le faire pour n'importe quel voyage de la compagnie d'ici juin 2021. Cette offre sera sous la forme d'un voucher de la valeur de 100% de votre voyage actuel + 10% de votre futur voyage (note : ça peut être intéressant si vous voulez réserver un voyage en Antarctique). Si vous avez pris vos vols avec Hurtigruten, ils seront également couverts par le voucher.

A confirmer, mais il semble que les bateaux Hurtigruten ne vont pas tarder à être aussi concernés par les restrictions de débarquement dans les ports (à part peut-être le trafic local). Bref si vous avez un voyage prévu avec Hurtigruten dans les semaines à venir, c'est une offre intéressante et à étudier de près.

Depuis hier le conseil municipal de Bergen interdit aux passagers des bateaux de croisière de quitter les navires amarrés dans la ville. Les navires de croisière arrivant à Bergen peuvent accoster et s'approvisionner, mais les passagers doivent rester à bord.

L'interdiction entre en vigueur immédiatement, le premier navire impacté étant l'AIDAaura, selon le site Web du port de Bergen . Le navire exploité par la ligne allemande AIDA Cruises transporte jusqu'à 1 300 passagers et doit arriver à Bergen jeudi après-midi, après avoir passé mercredi matin à Trondheim où les passagers ont été autorisés à quitter le navire. La déclaration ne fait aucune mention d'une date de fin pour l'interdiction.

Stavanger a rapidement suivi avec sa propre annonce alors que le nombre de cas de COVID-19 en Norvège commençait à augmenter rapidement.

Bonjour à tous, Je suis nouveau sur le forum, n'hésitez pas à me dire si ma présentation n'est pas suffisante au niveau de mon profil 😉 Je parcours le forum à la recherche d'informations et j'en ai déjà trouvé beaucoup.

Nous sommes sur le point de réserver notre toute première croisière pour Mai 2021 ds les Fjords avec MSC, nous serons deux adultes et notre deuxième enfant qui aura 2 ans 1/2. J'ai lu pas mal de choses sur les enfants et le Yacht Club, afin d'éviter les échanges non-constructifs, mon enfant ne causera pas de problème et nous ne le laisserons pas courir et crier partout dans les pieds des serveurs, ... Un petit écart n'est pas exclu car cela restera un enfant de presque 3 ans mais nous avons l'habitude de garder nos enfants près de nous et d'y regarder.

Nous hésitons entre la suite AUREA, il n'y en a pas bcp sur le Preziosa mais elles ont l'air très grande et située en coin à la proue du bateau. Les avantages avec Aurea nous semble déjà pas mal mais on ferait un upgrade sur le forfait boisson. Cette suite nous permettrait d'avoir de l'espace et une pièce +/- séparée pour notre enfant.

Pour le Yacht Club, Nous prendrions une suite Deluxe SC1. En taille, elle semble être identique à une chambre extérieure avec balcon et donc plus petite que la suite Aurea mais nous aurons tous les services du Yacht Club. Mais est-ce que tous ces services (majordome, conciergerie, mini bar, ...) valent la différence de prix avec la suite Aurea (1000 eur de différence pour une chambre plus petite mais de meilleurs services). Nous aimons parfois nous retirer au calme et ce YC nous semble être parfait pour nous qd nous voudrons souffler un peu. J'avoue que je peux être légèrement agoraphobe sans pour autant que ce soit maladif.

Pour ceux qui auraient déjà expérimentés une croisière avec un enfant de deux ans 1/2, y a-t-il une kids club adapté qui nous permettrait de nous retrouver à 2 qq petites fois sur la semaine pdt 2 petites heures? J'ai lu qu'au dessus de 3 ans, il n'y avait pas de souci mais un peu en-dessous, je n'ai rien trouvé.
