However, after checking the park’s website, it looks like there are no available slots for the days we’ll be there (July 22–24): https://www.thainationalparks.com/kui-buri-national-park/guided-tours/kui-buri-wildlife-safari So, I’m wondering if we *have* to book through them to access the park? (I had the same question for Kaeng Krachan.)

As part of a four-month world trip with our kids (ages 6, 12, and 13), we’ll be spending four weeks in Indonesia. Choosing destinations is so tough because everything is just so appealing! We’ll be spending some time on Java and will likely make a "quick trip" to Borneo for the orangutan reserve. We also want to experience Bali’s culture and the small islands of the Lesser Sundas, with their incredible marine life... but which ones should we prioritize? For a few days of diving and relaxation, do you think we should go for Nusa Penida, the Gili Islands, or Moyo Island? Is Sumbawa complicated to explore? Is it worth taking the time to visit? Can it be crossed by car to then reach Komodo National Park? Anyway, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Our goal is to avoid overly touristy spots (but not places that feel too unsafe with the kids), to discover local culture and villages, and to be amazed both underwater and above. We’ll be there for 3 full days and then leave on the 28th for the islands of Koh Samui and Koh Phangan.

I had a question about our domestic flight with Bangkok Airways at Suvarnabhumi Airport—our flight is at 6:00 AM. Our tickets say check-in closes 40 minutes before for domestic flights.

I’m looking for the best way to get to the airport from our hotel. Should we be there 2 hours early, and if so, what’s the safest and most convenient transport option? Some lines, like the ARL, only start at 6 AM if I’m not mistaken, so that might be cutting it too close. Our hotel is near Makkasan Station. Should we book a taxi with Bolt, or go through the hotel to arrange one for more reliability (even if it’s pricier)? Thanks for your advice.

Also, I’d love to hear your 3-day itinerary suggestions. I’m traveling with my wife and our two daughters, aged 9. We’re used to walking, but we’d rather focus on specific areas to avoid wasting time on transport or trying to do too much. We want to enjoy the moments instead of rushing around.

We know it’s not the best month to explore Vietnam, but we don’t have a choice—our vacation is in August! (2 days). We’re not planning to book anything (train, hotel, etc.) because we’ll decide based on the weather whether to include this stop or not. Do you think it’s doable to not book anything in Sapa for a family of five? After that, we’re planning to explore Lan Ha Bay and the surrounding areas, Ninh Binh... (4-5 days). I’d love your tips for exploring this area because I’ve read so much that I’m a little overwhelmed... Ideally, we’ll then head down to Hue and Hoi An. We’ll enjoy a few days at the beach (4-5 days). Then Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta (3-4 days). What do you think of this plan for 21 days? If you know any great spots, guides, etc., I’m all ears! Our criteria: - Good weather, obviously. From what I’ve gathered, it can still be pretty variable depending on the area at that time of year. - Not too far from Manila (max 4–5 days of travel, since we won’t be taking any internal flights). - Not too crowded, authentic vibes, beautiful beaches, and great snorkeling/diving spots.

I get the feeling we might find it quieter in terms of crowds than in Thailand—am I wrong?

After that, we were thinking of heading back to Cebu Island via public transport or taxi, crossing Panay and Negros, and then going to Moalboal, Bantayan, and Malapascua. Do you think it’s worth crossing Panay and Negros? We’ve heard there were floods on Negros, and Google Maps shows that the volcano on Negros is erupting, so I don’t think hiking it is an option. We haven’t booked our flight tickets yet, but we will soon... we’ve scoured quite a few sites to figure out where to start, but it’s still not clear.

We like to alternate between relaxation on beautiful beaches and sightseeing.

We’re thinking of landing in Bangkok and staying there for 2 or 3 days. Then, we’d spend a day visiting Ayutthaya. I’m skipping Chiang Mai on purpose—it’s too far north. After that, we’d head south (by plane?).

We love snorkeling, canoeing, kayaking, or any water sports. We won’t have any means of transportation—no car rental, or at most, a bike! We’ve looked at Koh Lanta, Koh Phi Phi, Koh Tao... and I’m already getting lost with all the options...

The kids might enjoy seeing elephants, but only if it’s done in a way that respects animal welfare.

That’s why I was thinking we could fly back from Bangkok instead of another city.

There are a lot of questions, but the biggest one is figuring out the route.

Starting with Karimunjawa was a deliberate choice—it’s a quieter island, and we wanted a calm place to acclimate, rest after the long trip and work, before heading straight to Borobudur from Jakarta to avoid wasting time "in the city."

Given the events of the past two years, the distance, and our non-extendable vacation budget, we had to rule out Lombok, Flores, and Sulawesi, despite their many attractions.

Je ne connais rien mais en me renseignant rapidement, le prix me semble assez élevé.

Je fais appel donc à vos expérience en la matière. Que pensez vous de ce programme et les lieux proposés? ne serait il un peu fatigant tout de même- tous les 3 jours je suis en gros dans les valises...Lequel des endroits éliminer? les prix vous semble raisonnable?

Je compte voyager avec Qatar Airways à l'Asie de sud-est ( vol multi destination ALG-DPS, KUL-ALG) accompagné de ma femme et de ma petite fille.

Au vol de retour, ma petite fille aura 2 ans et quelques jours, raison pour laquelle je voudrais me renseigner sur la possibilité de réserver un billet pour bébé de moins de 2 ans pour tous les vols et sur la possibilité ( ou la priorité) d'avoir un siège pour la petite en cas de disponibilité. Nous sommes encore à l’étape de déterminer quelques endroits où nous aimerions voyager dans l’espace-temps de mi février jusqu’à la mi avril, question de climat le plus propice à voyager en sac à dos avec notre petite qui aura 8.5 ans à ce moment-là.

Ma conjointe aura 6 semaines alors que moi, j’en aurai 3 seulement. Nous prévoyons partir les 3 ensembles et je les laisserai continuer la deuxième partie toutes les deux.

L’Amérique du Sud nous attire ainsi que l’Asie du Sud-Est.

Sans être dans l’obligation de tout voir à tout prix, nous aimons bien prendre le temps de s’arrêter quelques jours à un endroit plutôt que d’être constamment en déplacement afin de profiter des endroits où nous poserons pieds.

Chacun de notre côté, avons visité quelques pays, et souhaiterions débuter le voyage dans un endroit où ni un ni l’autre n’avons fait.

Si nous allons en Asie du Sud-Est, nous avions pensé débuter le voyage en Indonésie et qu’elles pourraient continuer vers la Thaïlande et Cambodge (que j’ai déjà fait) alors que si nous allons en Amérique du Sud, l’Argentine, terre de feux, le Chili nous attirent comme début de voyage (j’ai fait le Pérou) et elles pourraient continuer dans ces régions par la suite.

Quels sont vos conseils et suggestions en terme de climat entre mi février et mi avril, laps de temps où nous serons les 3 et où elles seront les deux, distance à parcourir entre chaque destination, coûts etc. ?

Nous partons pour la Malaisie au mois de Juin avec notre fille qui aura 21 mois au moment du voyage. Vu le nombre d'heures de vol, nous aimerions lui réserver et payer un siège dans l'avion. Mais voilà les sites de réservation en ligne/ comparateur de vol ne nous permettent pas de le faire. J'ai aussi appelé ces sites et me confirment que ce n'est pas possible chez eux. Ils me conseillent de passer directement par la compagnie aérienne mais le problème c'est que le billet me revient beaucoup plus cher! Est-ce que quelqu'un a déjà été confronté à ce genre de problème ? Y a t'il un site où c'est possible de le faire ? D'avance un grand merci pour votre aide !

Mon premier choix était Tahiti, mais vla le budget !!!!!!

Du coup j'ai cherché ailleurs, Madame aime bien l'Indonésie, et moi je pense qu'on peut également penser à un combiné Réunion / Maurice.

Je pense que pour les enfants le combiné Réunion/Maurice est plus adapté si on reste prêt de la côte avec une piscine. Ma seule crainte c'est que les randos ne soient pas du tout accessible, je ne pourrais porter le petit que deux heures je pense.
