I’m a new member of VoyageForum.
A high school Spanish teacher, I’ll be retiring on October 1, 2025.
I’m energetic, curious, and passionate about travel, hiking in the mountains and plains, and nature.
A member of the Alpine Club (hiking, skiing), I’m open-minded and fluent in three languages (French, English, Spanish) and have already traveled extensively as a backpacker with friends.
For next October or later, I’m looking for a travel companion to explore several destinations: Scandinavia (especially Norway), Argentina, Chile, or New Zealand.
If this post interests you, I’d appreciate your response.
Best regards, Marc

Hi there,
I’m posting another announcement for a slightly more specific destination—Spain. Departing from Montpellier by Flexibus to Barcelona, then following the coast south, visiting the Ebro Delta, and prioritizing local transport or BlaBlaCar.
Who’d be up for this 3-week (or longer) trip starting mid-September? If you’re not afraid of walking and laid-back living is your thing, let’s go!
Hope to hear from you soon
hello, 65 years old and used to traveling, looking for a travel companion (female or male) for any destination, any conditions. See you soon
Hi everyone. I’m 62, in pretty good shape, and looking for 1 or 2 travel partners to share the fixed costs of a tour agency (vehicle, guide, driver, etc.) for what I hope will be a legendary trip to Ethiopia, ideally departing in mid-February 2025. Trip duration: 22 to 24 days. The itinerary covers all the country’s highlights in optimized safety conditions (hence using a specialized agency). The estimated budget is 5000 to 6000 € per person. I’m very independent and prefer a "private room". As you’ve probably gathered, I’m looking for a situational partnership to minimize costs—I’m not specifically searching for new friends or anything more. That said, I’d love to find one or more travel companions who are easy to communicate and get along with. Thanks for your attention!
Hi everyone,
I’m heading off on a trip starting September 10th in Namibia and returning from Victoria Falls on October 7th, 2025.
I’m not quite set on the exact itinerary yet, but here’s what I love: - Nature - Culture - Hiking - Backpack-style trips, and for this one, mostly 4x4 (which seems essential) but still with plenty of walking - Simple places to stay, unless it’s THE experience not to miss or a little treat for myself
I’m pretty independent—I love traveling and meeting people, but I also like leaving room for discovery and spontaneity.
I’d love to find a few travel companions to share this experience with, so we could plan the main routes, must-see spots, and places to stay together.
I’ll refine my ideas over the next few weeks, and the plan will evolve based on who joins.
Even if you can’t come along, any tips or advice are more than welcome!
Looking forward to reading your thoughts and sharing about Namibia and Zimbabwe. Patricia

Hello,
I’d like to hike the Stevenson Trail between September 5th and 15th, 2025.
Starting from Le Puy-en-Velay.
I’m looking for a woman (I’m 60) to join me since I don’t want to walk alone.
Feel free to get in touch!
Nathalie (Bouches-du-Rhône, France)
Hello,
This summer, a kayaking expedition in Spitsbergen will attempt to reach the 80th parallel north, which is practically the northern tip of the island. We're looking for crew members. No need to be an experienced kayaker—navigating a sea kayak is within everyone's reach. This trip mainly requires good physical condition: in addition to paddling, setting up and taking down camp is energy-intensive, and there are also night watches (it will be daylight all the time) to guard against polar bears. You also need to be comfortable with isolation (3 weeks) and the unpredictability, especially the weather, of such a journey.
The expedition is organized by the agency Grand Nord Grand Large. All the details are on their website. I should mention that I have no affiliation with this agency, but this trip has already been postponed twice due to insufficient participants, and I’d really like it to happen this time. I’ve kayaked in the Arctic before, both in Spitsbergen and Greenland, but this is an exceptional adventure.
Looking forward to paddling together among the icebergs, Didier

Hi there,
On holiday from August 25 to September 13, I’m looking for hiking buddies to explore trails through the greenery, discover viewpoints, and enjoy panoramas.
A base location with day hikes radiating out, or a relaxed multi-day trek for one, two, or three days.
Visit heritage sites, canoe, mountain bike, swim, sightsee, take in viewpoints, local history, music, culture, arts—all chill 🙂
All your suggestions, ideas, projects, places, and destinations are welcome. In France, in Lanzarote, in Sicily, the Dolomites, in Crete… or elsewhere.
Let’s meet up for coffee in Paris, Marne-la-Vallée, or Meaux to get to know each other and chat (dates, locations, transport, budget, routes, visits, stages, duration, semi-autonomy/day trips, accommodation…).
And co-create together for a fun summer holiday.
A “basic fitness level” required. Energy, culture, sharing, respect, curiosity to discover the world. Chill vibes.
I play badminton and enjoy hiking. I love art, old stones, music, and upcycling.
Looking forward to meeting up here, there, or somewhere else. 😛
I’m 53, from Meaux (77).
Hello,
I’m a young, active retiree looking for someone to join me in Latin America without the obligation of being together 24/7. I’m leaving on 25/09 for Cusco in Peru, then planning to head down to Chile. If the date is too soon, we could meet up there instead.
I used to travel independently with my partner. We’ve been to Peru, Bolivia twice, Guatemala, Ecuador, Cuba, Ethiopia…
Now, I’m on my own and would prefer to share the experience rather than travel solo. I last visited Peru 13 years ago, so I’m excited to revisit it and explore it differently this time. If you’re interested… see you soon! Brigitte

Hey everyone, so glad to see the group back up and running! I’d love to join an existing group of French speakers—ideally, but if there are any interested folks, why not start one for the Kili climb?
Who'd like to join me at the end of August for about 3 weeks from Slovenia to SERBIA?
I can lend a tent—I’ll be sleeping in the van.
I’m looking for hiking, seeing lots of beautiful things, rivers, and meeting people...
Roger, non-smoker
Passing through Sète, northern Italy, Slovenia...
Hi there!
I’m planning a trip to Iceland for the first two weeks of September 2025 and I’m looking for travel companions to join me :)
The main reason for the trip: my brother is getting married in Iceland on September 11th to an Icelandic woman. My family will be gathering there for the wedding, and I’d like to take this opportunity to explore part of the country.
I’m looking for travel buddies who’d be up for renting a 4x4, since I’d love to visit remote spots like Landmannalaugar. And also people who enjoy hiking, trekking, and soaking in that incredible nature.
If anyone’s interested, feel free to reach out—I’d love to get to know you!
Hope to hear from you soon :) Mathilde

Hi there,
In Italy, Cinque Terre or Puglia—I don’t have anything specific in mind yet since I’m not familiar with these regions at all. Otherwise, Spain in Andalusia,
around 2 weeks starting early October. I’m not available before then.
If you’ve got similar plans in the works, feel free to let me know. Thanks in advance and see you soon
Hi there, I’ve never gone hiking but I’d love to try this activity with other people (experienced or not).
With or without bivouac/camping.
Share your experiences and tips on this!
See you soon ;)

Hi everyone,
I often travel solo, and even though I love it, I also like the idea of traveling with someone and not just "meeting people on the spot"...
I’ve already tried Facebook groups or forums, but people rarely follow through with travel plans... and I find some really lack seriousness!
Do you know any other alternatives for finding travel companions?
Little detail: I’m definitely not into group tours or organized trips... ^^
Thanks in advance for your feedback!
After traveling through Argentina and Chile, I’m heading back next year to visit friends. It’ll be during the southern hemisphere summer of 2026/27.
Still, I’m planning to explore quite a few nature spots where you really need a vehicle, so it’d be best to have 4 or even 5 people. Dates and duration are still flexible depending on everyone’s availability. You can also just join for a leg of the trip. The main route follows Argentina’s Ruta 40 from Cabo Vírgenes to La Quiaca, and then we can play leapfrog with the Andes. The plan is still coming together, so it’ll take a bit of time—get in touch if you’re interested!
Looking forward to chatting.
Marc

Hi! We’re two adults—my friend and I—traveling to Italy from August 18th to the 23rd.
Maybe Rimini, with drinks, parties, and all that.
We’d love to form a group of 3 or 4 people. 🙂
Hey everyone, I'm copy-pasting a message I wrote in English elsewhere. Hoping to find some people here! :)
Topic: Searching for travel mates in Kyrgyzstan 2nd to 4th week of July (i.e. soon) Hi all, Due to some holiday change of plans, I’m reaching out to this group to put together a team of 2-4 people willing to travel around Kyrgyzstan during July. I’ll land in Bishkek on Tuesday. I’m 42 years old and live in Lausanne. I love trekking, so it’d be great if the trip included some over the 3 weeks.

Hello,
Jean Pierre from Lille, a 70-year-old retiree in good health with an athletic build.
I’d like to spend 3 weeks in Réunion where my son lives, then head to Vietnam for 2 months where I have friends in the north, and finish with 1 to 2 months in New Zealand where I don’t know anyone!
I often travel as a laid-back adventurer—no stress, but still organized.
Since I don’t like groups, I’m only looking for one person, man or woman, who’s used to traveling off the beaten path.
That’s pretty much it!
Hope to hear from you soon
Single 48-year-old man looking for a female travel companion (ages 35-50) to travel between August 10th and 24th (dates are flexible).

I’m a laid-back, cheerful, and respectful guy. Just looking for a chill vibe, no pressure.
No groups, no forced flirting—just the desire to share some great moments together.
👋 If the idea appeals to you, drop me a message!

Hello everyone! I’m Sophie, 39 years old, easygoing, pretty dynamic, and I love nature, animals, and especially traveling 😊. I think I’m pretty easy to get along with. I’ve been in Latin America for almost a year now with my van and my two adorable dogs ❤️. Starting July 10, 2025, I’ll be heading up the Brazilian coast from Paraty (state of Rio) to Fortaleza in the north—about 2,800 km, which I plan to do in 3 weeks, averaging around 200 km a day so I can enjoy the coast ☺️. I’m looking for a female co-pilot to join me for the whole trip or just part of it, and to share the gas costs 😊. My van is super well set up for two people. If you’re interested, don’t hesitate to reach out—my WhatsApp is +33789077282. Maybe see you soon! 😄 Sophie, Nala, and Asuna
I’m looking for a trekking companion for an incredible adventure to the Texte K2 Base Camp in the Karakoram Range in Pakistan. I’ve found a reputable local trekking agency offering a great rate for groups of two or more, making it a fantastic budget-friendly opportunity.
I’m fluent in French and English, and I’d love to share this adventure with fellow trekking enthusiasts. If you’re interested in this unique experience at an affordable price, let’s team up! Feel free to reach out for more details. I can’t wait to experience this unforgettable adventure together. Thanks !

Hello friends,
After a 24-day panchakarma treatment in Kerala, I’m planning to extend my stay for about ten days with a driver and hotels included, plus a few excursions. This would be from February 11th to the 21st. If someone would like to join me on this trip, it’d be more fun to share our impressions. If not, I’ll go solo.
Backwaters, Ooty, Periyar—I’m finalizing the itinerary, especially the last few days.
I’ll be coming from Tahiti and returning there. I’m 74 years old, and this will be a pretty relaxed trip.
Looking forward to meeting, preferably one of you ladies.
Happy travels to everyone!
I’m looking for a travel companion to visit Asia in several trips.
I live in Paris.
Available outside of school holidays.
I’m gay.

Hi everyone,
My name’s Romain, I’m 33 (turning 34 soon), from Toulouse, and I’m looking for someone who’d like to join me for part of my trip to Thailand starting in early June. I know what people might think about the timing—yes, it’s monsoon season, but that’s exactly why I’m going then: to avoid the huge tourist crowds during peak periods. This trip comes after a lot of tough things that have happened in my life over the past few months, and this part of the world has always called to me... It’ll be my first time traveling outside Europe, and I’ll admit I’m a little nervous about going alone, but if it’s meant to happen, I’ll let fate take care of the rest haha 😄 I chose this moment in my life to go to Thailand to connect with a different way of living, meet locals, wander around, discover new things, and discover myself in the process. I’m a really cheerful, sincere person who loves human connections and genuine exchanges. I’m also very into spirituality and personal growth. Through this post, I’d love to find one or more people who’ve already planned to go there so we can meet up and share part of the journey together, or maybe someone who relates to what I’ve shared and wants to go too but not necessarily alone—I’m open to anything 🙂 If you’re interested, feel free to reply here or send me a private message so we can start chatting. Wishing you all the best, and hope to hear from you soon 😉

I love traveling and would like to share it with one or more people in a simple, positive, and straightforward way.
Morocco, Spain, the Canary Islands, France, South Korea, and Croatia are some of my sunny, wellness-focused destinations.
My goals when traveling: discovery, sharing, fun, joy, and connections.
Looking forward to hearing from you! 😎
