Accommodation in Senegal
Location Map of Senegal
Overview of the Offer
When it comes to tourist accommodations, facilities (hotels, camps, etc.) are primarily developed along the coast and locally in Casamance. Dakar, like all capitals, is more expensive than the rest of the country for accommodations.
Hotels of All Kinds
Generally, Senegalese hotels do not always offer the best value for money. You will find a few "high-end" hotels (starting at around 60 € for a double room), mainly in the capital, and many others that are more basic, even very basic, throughout the country. For the latter, expect around 15 € or less for a double room. At the very least, the mid-range category (around 20/25 € per night) offers the best value for money.
All-Inclusive
Senegal has long developed all-inclusive holiday tourism. Beyond Cap Skirring (in Casamance), the pioneer in this area, other options exist on the Petite Côte south of the capital, particularly in the resorts of Mbour-Saly, La Somone, Nianing, and even near the Dakar agglomeration with Ngor.
Village Camps
This concept was introduced a few decades ago by the government and remains a unique experience to try. Village camps are the tourist alternative to hotels, especially in rural areas, with facilities of varying quality depending on the location. Accommodation only or full board, with prices generally starting at around fifteen euros per night for two.

Apartments and Villas
The rental of bungalows, villas, or high-standard apartments in Dakar and the main tourist areas has developed significantly. This is particularly interesting if you are traveling in a group or for long stays.
