Specific entry requirements

French nationals and some others do not need a visa for Hong Kong and Macau for up to 90 days. However, if they plan to "travel to China" (including just for a day trip), they must comply with Chinese authorities and obtain their Chinese visa beforehand. Note that this visa cannot be obtained in Hong Kong or Macao.
