Climbing and Via Ferrata
Location Map of Destinations
Climbing
Climbing, also known as rock climbing, was historically linked to mountaineering. Originally, it served as training for mountaineers. Since then, it has become a standalone activity that can be practiced on rock faces of varying steepness or indoors on climbing walls, whether near home or while traveling.

Via Ferrata
What is via ferrata?
Developed just about twenty years ago, this activity takes place on rock faces that are more or less "equipped." Ropes, ladders, cables, and other gear are in place to allow participants to move forward safely, blending elements of hiking and "light" climbing.
Unlike traditional climbing, via ferrata is an activity easily accessible to everyone, including children, even though there are routes of varying difficulty. As a result, it is growing in popularity worldwide.
