Czech Republic Climate and Weather

Climate Overview

Like other Central European countries, the Czech climate is temperate with four distinct seasons that follow one another. The climate is fairly uniform across the country, with only slight variations depending on altitude. Winters are harsher and snowier in the mountains, and there is a little more rain than in the plains. Otherwise, temperatures are generally pleasant, and sunny days are common everywhere between May and September. However, summers tend to be wetter, with heavy but brief downpours rather than drizzle.
