For tourist travel purposes.
For French nationals
No visa required for stays of less than 14 days, but a passport valid for at least 6 months after the planned departure date and with at least two blank pages. A return or onward ticket may theoretically be requested.
Important: Entering Lesotho necessarily involves a land or air passage through South Africa. For those traveling with family, it is important to know that South African authorities have required since 2015 that children present an individual birth certificate translated into English and certified.
Other nationalities
The same applies to most Europeans and Canadians. For those from the USA, Great Britain, or a Commonwealth country, the visa-free duration is extended to 90 days.
