For French citizens
A passport valid for at least 6 months after the planned return date and a (mandatory) biometric visa are required to enter Mauritania. The latter can be obtained from Mauritanian representations abroad and, more simply, on arrival at Nouakchott airport or at the main land border crossings. Several visa durations are available, starting from 30 days on site (single entry) for 55 €.
