New York Airports
Although the New York metropolitan area has numerous airports of various sizes, three handle the vast majority of air traffic:
- John F. Kennedy International Airport: this is New York's main airport and one of the busiest in the world.
- Newark Liberty International Airport: located in the New York suburbs, in New Jersey, it is the metropolitan area's second-largest air hub.
- LaGuardia Airport: less well-known than the other two and specializing in domestic flights or those to Canada, it still welcomes 30 million passengers a year.
