Buses and Shared Vehicles

There is a small local bus network and, above all, shared minibuses (less safe than buses), which are not always very fast or punctual but are economical and allow you to get around the country.

Absent Modes of Transport

There are no domestic flight routes (just the Mission Aviation Fellowship, which can be chartered occasionally) or boats within the country. As for trains, apart from the 1.5 km between the capital and the South African border on the railway line to/from Bloemfontein (South Africa), there is nothing. In short, all travel in Lesotho is done by road.
