Location Map of Northwest Spain

By Air
There are five commercial airports in this part of Spain: one in Asturias (Asturias Airport), one in Cantabria (Santander), and three in Galicia (A Coruña, Santiago de Compostela, Vigo). All, except Santiago with its 2 million passengers per year, handle around a million passengers annually, with a network primarily domestic and a few more or less regular or low-cost flights to destinations such as Paris, Belgium, or Switzerland. Note that Porto in Portugal, as well as airports in the Basque Country, are not far away.

A Coruña and Santander are two ports where it is possible to arrive by cargo ship, as is Bilbao in the neighboring Basque Country.
