This region is bordered to the west by James Bay and Hudson Bay, to the east by the Côte-Nord region and the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, to the north by Hudson Strait and Ungava Bay, and to the south by the Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Mauricie, and Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean regions. Numerous outfitters attract hunting and fishing enthusiasts. It’s the ideal place to experience, among other things, the traditional way of life of Indigenous peoples.
