This region is located in the extreme southwest of Quebec and is bordered to the northwest by Abitibi-Témiscamingue, to the east by the Laurentides-Lanaudière region, and to the south by the Ottawa River, a natural border between Quebec and Ontario. It is a well-known vacation destination celebrated for its gastronomy and numerous tourist attractions: museums, casinos, spas, outfitters, parks, bike trails, and more.
