Overview of Nicosia/Lefkosa
As in the past Berlin, the Cypriot capital (called Lefkosa on the Turkish side) is divided in two, with one part in each of the two "countries" that are the Republic of Cyprus and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC); the famous "Green Line" acts as the separator. Lefkosa is home to much of Nicosia’s old town.
