Religion

Religion holds significant weight in Mexican society, which is deeply religious and also practices a certain syncretism between European and Indigenous religious traditions. Traditionally Christian, it is gradually moving away from Catholicism (still very much in the majority) in favor of the countless American sect-churches that have crossed the border.
