Covering nearly 20% of Tajik territory, this area offers stunning mountain landscapes, valleys, lakes, glaciers, and a rich wildlife (bears, leopards, wolves, birds...) alongside vibrant local cultures. The Pamir range is also a top destination for trekking and mountaineering, featuring peaks like Ismail Samani Peak and the former Lenin Peak. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2013.
