Better known for its foreign investments or its airline, Qatar is nevertheless trying to position itself as a tourist destination, showcasing its capital, Doha, reminiscent of Dubai, and the exploration of its desert.

Currently, the country welcomes around 2 million visitors per year (1.819 million in 2018) and has seen a significant drop due to the escalating crisis in recent years between Qatar and its Saudi neighbor (it was close to 3 million entries in 2015).
