Finding the best time to visit means balancing climate conditions with crowd levels and the most attractive prices for travel and on-site costs.
As with many destinations, it’s best to avoid the rainy and hurricane season. The ideal window runs from December to early April, or even into June or early July when rainfall is lighter than in May or later months. That said, the Christmas to early January period is also the busiest for tourism, with prices to match. For a good compromise, consider April, June to early July, or early December.
