No vaccinations are mandatory to enter the country, though it is still advisable to be up to date with your "basic vaccinations."

Safety

Crime and Delinquency

Crime is relatively low in Georgia, and you can travel without major difficulties (outside the "separatist" zones), while still maintaining a basic level of vigilance, as you would for any trip.

Scams and "Tourist" Harassment

Socio-Political Risks and Terrorism

The country has two "separatist" zones: Abkhazia and South Ossetia, which are not controlled by the Georgian government. Even if the situation may appear calm, the issues are far from resolved, and it is best to avoid venturing into these regions—more for regulatory reasons than safety concerns (at least in Abkhazia). It is also worth noting that under Georgian law, anyone entering these regions from Russia may face criminal prosecution in Georgia.

Foreign Consulates on Site

If you encounter problems while traveling abroad, your country’s consular services can assist you. It is also important to know that if you are a citizen of the European Union and your country is not represented, you can contact any other EU member state’s representation.
