Nature-Adventure

Nature in the Bahamas is beautiful, even stunning with its postcard-perfect beaches and marine life that will delight diving enthusiasts, but it is not particularly "diverse" when it comes to the land.

Culture

Like many places in the Caribbean, the archipelago is a melting pot of different races and origins. This is what creates the local identity, which can be discovered in everyday life or during festivals and celebrations, rather than through monuments, museums, or material traces of history, which are scarce.

Relaxation-Holidays

You could almost say this is what the Bahamas are all about!

Independent Travel

The Bahamas is a very easy destination for independent travel, perfect for beginner travellers. That said, backpacking is not really encouraged or even appreciated, and nothing is designed for small budgets. Financially, the Bahamas is one of those rare places in the world where it is often more interesting to explore through all-inclusive packages or cruises rather than independently.

Organised and All-Inclusive

While the country is a major tourist destination and a popular honeymoon spot, it is not as favoured by the French. Apart from the Club Med in San Salvador, there are few options programmed from France, except with a few specialists in the region offering all-inclusive stays and cruises. However, there is plenty of choice from Canada and especially the United States.

Cruises

Given the proximity to the US coast and Americans' enthusiasm for this activity, it is no surprise that the Bahamas has become a prime cruise destination, particularly from Florida. Each year, over a million people discover Nassau and the main islands of the archipelago this way.
