Good evening,

Vijay Stambha (Victory Tower), Chittorgarh Fort, Rajasthan.

This magnificent tower has the peculiarity of leaning slightly...

Hmm, that’s odd—when I passed by, it wasn’t leaning. But as you’ve admitted in other posts, you have a... *leaning* toward alcohol, and it’s well known that when you’ve been drinking, you shouldn’t drive *or* use your camera.

A little further on the site, there’s a Jain tower, the Kirti Stambha, just as interesting.

And while we’re still in India, there’s this temple of the Toda ethnic group near Ooty (northeast Tamil Nadu).

But the strangest tower I’ve ever seen is the Lanka Minar in Kalpi, between Kanpur and Jhansi, in southern Uttar Pradesh.

Here’s a photo I found online since mine were badly damaged after my computer crashed.

Here’s one that’s not too wrecked, though—it’s a sort of close-up of the tower’s decoration.

Haha—weird, I didn’t remember Chittorgarh Tower leaning either!

Totally, I really need to win this one 😆

There might’ve been an attempt at photographic trickery, but we’re not falling for it 😜

There’s always the cloud. We, on the other hand, leaned (ha ha) toward external hard drives, scattered in various strategic spots.

Can we consider this a tower? 😛 (Barcelona)

Il n'y a pas de problème sans solution... et si il n'y a pas de solution, il n'y a pas de problème !

And while I was in Zaragoza, I had a little thought for you all ;) Towers of the magnificent Aljafería Palace

I beg the indulgence of the participants—I forgot to announce the close of photo submissions and the opening of voting. I’m a grandmother (named Noëlle, by the way ;)) whose house has been overrun with children and grandchildren since Sunday. Some of them have been on the lookout since 6 a.m. this morning, hoping to catch a glimpse of Santa. With so many preparations on my plate and a house full of joy, I completely forgot about the contest yesterday. On top of that, I don’t know how to make a slideshow. If someone wants to take care of it, that’d be super helpful. It seems like the theme allowed for a great variety of photos—now it’s just a matter of choosing our favorites. Happy voting… and happy end of the year!

Hi everyone,

I know it's too late to enter the contest, no worries! I just discovered the topic... 😕 ...🙂

Just a reminder that there are many towers built during Genoese rule along the Corsican coastline. This one is the Tour de Capitello (recently restored), located near the runway threshold at Ajaccio Airport. I took this shot a few days ago as the sun was setting on the horizon.

Happy end of the year to EVERYONE!

With the holiday season preparations underway this month, there weren’t many participants in the contest, but we still saw a lovely variety of towers. Thanks for this beautiful Genoese tower and its reflection under a soft seasonal light.
