Didn’t get what moderation had to do with this?

I think Bruno meant "moderation" but was referring to the team in charge of forum development.

---/---

For promoting the contest, I try to include it in my signature with every post, but it doesn’t seem very effective...

why eliminate topics that have already been suggested?

I didn’t get the impression that this rule was set in stone.

I think an old topic or a very similar theme can be proposed again. 🙂

Hi,

Unless we're mistaken, we didn’t see the email in question.

Good evening,

cliffs aren’t very common around the world.

Oh, but they are! And you don’t need to have traveled the globe to see them. Just in France alone: - In Normandy: the Alabaster Coast from Étretat to Le Tréport, the D-Day landing beaches...) - In the North: the Opal Coast (Cap Blanc-Nez) - In Provence: the Calanques, Cap Canaille... - In Corsica: Bonifacio, Calanches de Piana - In Brittany: Cap Fréhel, Plouha Etc.

Hello,

Unless we made a mistake, we didn’t see the email in question.

Hi, and thanks for your reply. Actually, instead of an email, I sent it as a report on one of my own posts. But maybe we can get an answer here: was it a deliberate choice not to include contests in any of the "overview" sections of the forum? It would help bring the site to life and could attract new "followers."

Thanks Noëlle for your message. I totally get that some topics inspire more than others. That doesn’t stop comments or feedback on the discussion thread, which is what it’s there for anyway! As for the rule, I agree with Atilla—I think it’s more about self-censorship or a need to innovate than an actual rule. And honestly, the winner gets to do whatever they want—otherwise, what’s the point of winning? 😉

Yeah, I actually meant the forum team, but I did it via the report feature—my mistake, since my message never reached them.

For the promo, I saw it!! Thanks!! Maybe it’d work better if it were a link, no? Even though I’m not sure if it’s technically possible

Good evening,

cliffs aren't very common around the world.

Oh, but they are! And you don’t need to have traveled the whole world. Just in France alone: - In Normandy: the Alabaster Coast from Étretat to Le Tréport, the D-Day landing beaches...) - In the North: the Opal Coast (Cap Blanc-Nez) - In Provence: the Calanques, Cap Canaille... - In Corsica: Bonifacio, Calanques de Piana - In Brittany: Cap Fréhel, Plouha And so on.

And I can confirm that all these stunning places make for beautiful photos. I’ll admit, I hadn’t thought of the calanques 😅 A dig through my hard drive is in order..

I think it’s possible since I’ve done it before a while back.

But I don’t remember how!

( Just a reminder that voting is open until Friday...)

Alright, the results are now official and published—congrats, Agnès, on this win!! Well done to Isabelle too, who’s still lurking in the shadows just a few points behind you.

My mission here is done. It’s been a real pleasure, even if my wife wonders what I’ve been tinkering with here for hours!!! Not to mention the remote managing from 18,000 km away...

See you for the February contest!! Can’t wait!!

This is Coron Island... If you go there... It's much cheaper than El Nido, and the landscapes/cliffs are just as stunning (lakes and lagoons that take your breath away). Stay at least 2 nights. But the best is to stay 4 nights or more, which gives you enough time to do almost everything. If you only have one full day, do an 'ultimate' island-hopping tour—it’s almost the same price, and you won’t miss these three must-see spots: Cagayan Lake, Barracuda Lake, and Twin Lagoon. No need to book way in advance; you can reserve just a day before since there are plenty of providers and *banka* (bamboo boats). If you have time (at least a morning), visit Capayas Creek Kingfisher Preserve to see over a dozen rare and colorful Palawan birds in their natural habitat—all the birds are wild (you’ll need to book a day in advance since it’s private property). Scooters are cheap for the day; they’re really convenient.

Thanks for the updated details, David. I actually spent 3 nights in Coron back in 2012! It’s starting to feel like a while ago, and I think I’ll avoid going back to that part of the world so I don’t spoil my amazing memories 😊 Have a great day! Christelle
