Question about customs in San Francisco

Hi there, We're leaving this Thursday, August 8th: Paris → Detroit → SF. Today I'm loading up the app and filling it out at my own pace, knowing I'll need to take the photos when we arrive in Detroit to benefit from the fast-track customs process. But what about SF? After a domestic flight, do we have to go through customs again? I did Rapid City → Minneapolis → NYC a long time ago... can't remember how it worked... Thanks!

No, you don’t need to go through customs after a domestic flight [;)]

About the MPC app, we just got back from a trip to Florida with a layover at EWR. I was planning to use the "MPC special line." When we arrived at immigration, a sign said 20 minutes for the regular line and 15 minutes for the MPC line... I figured saving 5 minutes wasn’t worth it. In the end, there was actually only one line, and it took about 40 minutes! Last September in Washington, though, there *was* a separate MPC line. So I guess it depends on the arrival times and airports...

Have a great trip! !

Hi But in SF? After a domestic flight, do you have to go through customs again? Thanks

No customs on domestic flights, but there’s nothing stopping them from opening your luggage during the transfer.

Experienced this on a domestic flight NYC-Washington DC.

Dreading the night before: where to eat Friday lunch? Parfield Café or tacos in San Miguel... Meal in San Miguel and coffee or beer in Parkfield to photograph the inside of the place in the world capital of earthquakes on the San Andreas Fault! 😊
