Ferry from Paros to Serifos then Serifos to Andros

Hi there,

We’re heading to the Cyclades in August 2025 (yes, not the best season…). We’re looking for ferries to get from Paros to Serifos, then from Serifos to Andros. It seems like there aren’t ferries every day to Serifos… And from Serifos to Andros, bookings aren’t open yet. We checked ferryhopper.com. Could anyone give us some info on these routes, please? Is it necessary to book in advance?

Thanks for your help! Best,

Hi Laurent

You’ve chosen islands that are very poorly connected to each other—that explains the difficulty. All bookings are open for August, so if you haven’t found anything, it means the route doesn’t exist. Just because it existed last year doesn’t mean it will this year, especially if the connection only ran once a week.

The odd one out in your itinerary is Serifos. It’s well connected to Sifnos and Milos but very poorly linked to all the other islands. If you can, drop Serifos from your route and add another island that’s easier to access in relation to the others you’ve chosen, like Tinos or Naxos, for example.

Booking is mandatory for fast ferries, like a Speedrunner, but not required for slow boats like those from Blue Star.

Have a great holiday!

Thanks Elenitsa for your advice, we’ll definitely consider swapping Serifos for Tinos after Naxos. We don’t know Tinos yet, but we already love Naxos, so going back sounds great! Have a lovely rest of the day and thanks again!

Tinos is really great—I’d recommend it, especially if you’ve already been to Naxos. But avoid Tinos on August 15th because of the pilgrimage that happens there every year.
