Lovers of vast open spaces and beautiful journeys 🌍. For an undetermined duration, I plan to continue a trip I started last year (Cuzco/Puerto Montt). Departing from Puerto Montt in Chile to the southernmost city in the world, Puerto Williams. Transportation: buses or short-term car rentals and ferries (sailing through the fjords). Accommodations: hospedajes or dorms depending on what we find. Food: markets, street food, local restaurants, and homemade meals—without ruling out little treats. Passing through PUYUHUAPI, COYHAIQUE, PUERTO RÍO TRANQUILO (Marble Caves), PUERTO NATALES (Torres del Paine Park), crossing into Argentina (El Chaltén—trekking capital, El Calafate—Perito Moreno Glacier), PUNTA ARENAS, all the way to the southernmost city in the world, PUERTO WILLIAMS (on Navarino Island) 🏝️ before crossing the Beagle Channel again to reach USHUAIA and heading back up through Argentina—maybe even making our way to Paraguay. No set timeline. The dates aren’t finalized yet. The ideal time for Patagonia is December to February, but that’s also peak season and more expensive. October/November or March/April might be better—still to be decided. Calling all adventurers and sports enthusiasts! If this adventure tempts you, get in touch. Meeting beforehand to get to know each other and see if we click is a must. Thanks, and see you soon.

Good evening Brigitte, Your project interests me—is it all set? I’d love to chat about travel and your way of traveling. I’m a 71-year-old man, fit and living in the Dordogne (24). I travel with a backpack, using the country’s local transport. I also travel by bike with panniers. I had a project to cycle in Chile: Ruta 7, Carretera Austral. I’ve traveled in Asia with people I met on travel companion sites. Looking forward to hearing from you, JPierre

Hi Jean Pierre, Sorry, I was swamped, so I didn’t have time to check messages. For now, I need to step out, but I’ll reply later. See you soon. Brigitte

Here I am again, I see you were planning to cycle through Chile. That’s not my plan—I’ll be using buses and ferries, and maybe renting a car occasionally if there are a few of us and the place calls for it. My route is set for the Chile and southern Argentina parts; after that, it’s just the broad strokes. Generally, I figure things out and plan my route and activities as I go. I’m in touch with a Belgian woman who’s also interested. Looking forward to it. Brigitte
