nous partons avec mon amie à Cuba durant 19 jours sur place (du 21/07 au 09/08). Nous aimerions visiter:
La havane (2 j afin de nous reposer)
Santiago( le jour 3)
Baracao ( les jours 4 et 5)
Santiago (les jours 6 et 7) (Carnaval prévu les 25 26 27 juillet) (Est ce bien cela?)
Bayamo (le jour 8) ( fête prévue dans les rues le samedi. Est ce vrai?)
Trinidad (les jours 9 et 10) (Est il nécessaire de visiter Las Tunas, Camaguey, Ciego de Avila, Sancti Spiritu, Santa Clara et Cienfuegos?)
La Havane (le jour 11) (ville étape)
Vinales (les jours 12 et 13)
Cayo Levisa (les jours 14 et 15) (Il me semble que l'on doit y aller en bateau!)
Pinar del Rio (les jours 16 et 17)
La Havane (les jours 18 et 19)
Est ce que ce projet vous parait réalisable?
Compte tenu du fait que les bus Viazul circulent de nuit (gain de temps) entre La Havane et Santiago, n'est il pas intéressant de les utiliser? Au sud, nous comptions louer une voiture ainsi que dans la Vallée de Vinales. Est ce nécessaire?
A notre arrivée, nous comptions dormir pour la première nuit à l'hotel Valencia à la Havane, connaissez vous?
Connaissez vous d'autres Cayos sympas ? Cayo las Brujas? (accès payant)
des adresses chez l'habitant à recommander ?
Est il conseillé de se faire vacciner contre l'hépatite A et la typhoïde?
Faut il prendre tout l'argent en euros ou des travellers chèques thomas cook (facile à changer? moyennant quelles commisions?)

Si j'ai bien compris vous aimeriez faire la Havane - Santiago en bus de nuit ??? Ca va prendre au moins 15-16 heures voir plus !!! Un ami a moi travaillais a Cayo coco ( soit approximativement à mis chemin entre les deux ) et ca lui prenait plus de 8 heures se rendre chez lui à Santiago!
Voyager de nuit nous permettrait de gagner du temps (ça risque d'être fatigant !). En voiture, j'ai lu qu'il valait mieux conduire de jour; on risque donc de perdre une journée !

j'ai vu l'itinéraire selon moi il est vraiment nikel!!!avec le carnaval a santiago c'est plutot pas mal!!Mais il manque quand même quelque chose au circuit même si c'est juste un monument comme un autre mais pour moi il manque le mausolé du Che à santa Clara je trouve que c'est quand même un incontournable surtout qu'il est sur votre chemin!Tu eux le placer en revenant de Trinidada opur aller à la Havane c'est juste une étape pas besoin de passer la nuit car la vlle ensuite ne bénéficie pas d'attrait particulier même si les cubains dans cette region sont plus sympa et honnête que els autres même si le peuple cubain est fort sympa!!
Ensuite sur le programme je pense que bayamo est de trop car à vrai dire c'est pas exceptionnel.
Actuellemnt je suis expatriée à Cuba je suis à La Havane depuis 1an je bosse au Melia Cohiba je repars en France dans 15jours si tu a d'autres questions n'hésite pas!

Je suis allée à Cuba fois (avril 2004 et 2005) je n'étais pas vaccinée contre l'hépatite A, mais pour le B je l'étais. Cette année nous sommes allés à l'Ile Margarita et le médecin nous a fortement recommandé la vaccination contre le A et le B en plus du Tétanos. Alors c'est fait et c'est bon pour la vie.
Pour l'itinéraire, je te dirais de t'attarder plus longtemps dans le coin de Trinidad.. c'est extra comme petite ville. Il faut prendre le temps de s'y intégrer. J'ai une très bonne adresse de casa si tu la veux.
Si tu prends le bus, il faut être patient et t'apporter un bon chandail car on y gèle. Quant à moi, chaque fois que j'ai voulu prendre ce bus, j'ai changé d'avis et j'ai embarqué avec des taxis illégaux cubains qui me faisaient le même prix beaucoup plus rapidement... et l'avantage c'est qu'ils peuvent arrêter quand tu veux et commenter! Exemple, si tu fais le trajet vers Trinidad, il peut s'arrêter au mausolée du Che pendant 1h. Tu peux aussi traverser la Sierra del Escambray.
Pour Vinales, tu ne dois pas rater cela. C'est vraiment superbe! Un des plus beaux coins de Cuba. Encore la, il est préférable de louer les services d'un taxi illégal car les routes sont très très très mal indiquées. Vous perdrez moins de temps et vous aurez un guide cubain a votre disposition. Même les Cubains a qui vous demanderez votre route se contredisent... hahaha! Demandez lui de vous arrêter aux chutes de Soroa en chemin. Allez voir la Grotte de l'indien et les mogotes.
Enfin, côté santé, faites bien attention a la turista. A Cuba, en sac a dos, c'est presqu'immanquable. Apportez-vous des repas liquide genre Ensure, ca dépanne bien quand rien d'autres ne veut rentrer dans le système! Évitez certains aliments surtout si vous mangez chez l'habitant. J'ai été malade pendant mes deux voyages et c'est pas drôle. Prévoyez le papier de toillettes, chose très rare a Cuba et très pratique en cas de.... il existe aussi un vaccin buvable contre la turista! Vous n'avez rien a perdre a part 100$. Et apportez des capsules de yaourt et comprimés d'extraits de pépins de pamplemousse. Très pratique pour se protéger l'estomas et se refaire une flore intestinale.
Enfin, je te souhaite un excellent voyage. Cuba, c'est magique, la salsa, le rhum, les mojitos, les beaux Cubains, les cigares... hummm chanceuse(eux)! 😎

En fait, on a choisi de faire La HAvane - Santiago en bus de nuit, puis remonter vers Vinales grace à une voiture de location. On pourra ainsi sortir des sentiers battus.

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

I have several chronic conditions (including asthma and related ones), and I’m planning to travel for a year across different countries.
Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...

The more time passes, the more we read about people getting sick—some with mild to severe traveler’s diarrhea, and many ending up in the hospital. We, as parents, have been through it in Egypt with pretty bad cases, but we’d really like to avoid that for our daughter. Even though there’s no zero risk, and we’ll be careful, can any of you reassure me? Not everyone got sick, right? I’d love to hear positive feedback from parents, but not just them 😊. It was recently confirmed that this is due to rabies.
The suspected origin is contamination in Namibia by jackals.
The contagion seems to be spreading.
Preventive vaccination (of the animals) is being considered.

Rabies affects all mammals.
Once symptoms appear—sometimes weeks or even months later—death is inevitable.
It’s the bite that transmits the disease.
There are so-called "furious" forms with aggression, but also forms without aggression.
In case of a bite, in addition to standard wound care, tetanus prevention… rabies prevention is essential.
