Photo 1: First aluminum bridge Saguenay, Quebec

In Canada, there are many iconic bridges, but if there’s one bridge that tells a unique story, it’s the one in Jonquière in the Saguenay—home to the world’s first entirely aluminum bridge.

Hello, photo1:

This isn't original, either in the choice of bridge or the spot where the photo was taken. Valentré Bridge in Cahors... probably the most beautiful fortified medieval bridge in France.

"Bridge of the Gods" in Cascade Locks (Oregon, USA). This bridge spans the Columbia River, connecting Washington State and Oregon. It's a cantilever beam bridge. A well-known hiking trail crosses it: the PCT (Pacific Crest Trail), which runs from the Canadian border to the Mexican border. It's the lowest point on the trail (you have to cross the Columbia River somewhere), and Cascade Locks is the only town located directly on the trail.

I’m sharing three bridges bathed in late-afternoon light under a cloudy sky. Photo 1: Paris’s Pont Alexandre III… almost submerged.

A bridge suggested by the definition provided by Isabelle: it features stone, iron, and wood. So, it represents a transitional era in construction: 1840, design and start of the works. One of the first suspension bridges. Italy, Tuscany, a bridge connecting Chifenti and Fornoli over the Lima River. The bridge was rebuilt identically. The guardrail was added—safety standards aren’t the same today as they were in the 19th century.
