Yeah, this theme is really inspiring, but you're the one who deserves the credit...

5) Bamako: "AIDS kills men. Let’s unite to stop AIDS"

6) Somewhere on the N7 road between Bamako and Bougouni:

7) Djenné, Great Mosque (the world’s largest adobe/mud-brick building) hgb

Hi Hery,

I really love these African posters (or awareness signs). Especially the one above. A bit childlike narrative scenes, expressive drawings, bright colors, displayed in an unexpected but clever way in a rural landscape.

This is not a pipe!

On the roadsides in Kosovo; even tanks have to stick to the speed limits.

In Spain, supermarkets sometimes have *muy especiales* parking lots!

Sorry about the photo quality—they’ve been enlarged to meet the requirements

Good evening Catherine, thanks a lot. I’m really happy you like these signs/posters. And there’s nothing to add to your description—it’s perfect. Personally, I especially love the photo on the topic of "girls' education": the text in Bambara and that girl with a wrap, blue plastic sandals (sooo typical!), and a schoolbag. I really struggle with French terms—whether it’s *panneau*, *affiche*, *plaque*, *pancarte*, *écriteau*, *enseigne*, *étiquette*, *label*, *pannonceau*, *placard*, *plaquette*, *poster*, *vignette*... and finally *panneau d'affichage*. Phew, I’m completely lost in my thoughts …😕 hgb

I really struggle with French terms like panneau, affiche, plaque, pancarte, écriteau, enseigne, étiquette, label, pannonceau, placard, plaquette, poster, vignette...

And to make this task even trickier, you can have fun figuring out all the different meanings of these words ;)

- Labeling people - Falling for a trap - Dumping your fiancée ...

Aaah, I get it now— labeling people: categorizing someone (putting them in a box), judging falling for it: getting tricked, falling into a trap leaving his fiancée: hm, I know "plaquer" as in "to slick back your hair." Here, does it mean to leave or abandon?! hgb

A long, long, straight gravel road (Australia).

To follow up on Tylassin’s photo 3 where the top of the swimsuit isn’t optional—well, in Oman, the dress code for swimming is even stricter ☺️

In shopping malls, modest dress is required.

Still in Oman, we were a bit lost—this camel showed us the way 😄

Uhhh, do you need a wetsuit to swim in Oman???

Is it a really specific spot or is it like that everywhere?

After that, it’s just a suggestion, not a rule. 😇

(I notice that for once, the guys are getting just as much grief as the ladies😏)

From what I remember, we only saw that sign once in a very touristy wadi. But I don’t recall seeing people swimming that way.

I swam in the Dead Sea in Israel—best to avoid having any cuts or wounds because it burns like crazy!

Well, no matter what, you float! It’s super hard to stay upright in the water—you feel like a roly-poly toy!
