I got my hair done by Christelle for Gardens by the Bay in Singapore

and by Kate for the Cactus Garden in Lanzarote

I’ll have to draw faster next time 😄

Still at Central Park,

Hello Kate

Probably taken at roughly the same spot (under a sky darkened by dust)

Hello Muriel
Sure does look very similar! But I get the impression your photo was taken outside, whereas mine was taken from inside, in the entrance hall where you buy tickets.
Maybe CΓ©sar Manrique was fond of oculi π
(I double-checked the spelling of "œil-de-bœuf" in the plural π€ͺ)

Anyway, you nailed it with Central Park! I really love the photo!
At the same time, is posting two photos of the same park against the rules?
#contest !

I’ll have to whip it out faster next time 😄
Gotta hurry for my 3rd one ;)
But seriously, it doesn’t matter—it’s actually interesting to see different perspectives on the same place...

Ox-eye windows, so weird! π

"Yeux de bœuf" is too weird! π
I almost wrote it that way but then I had second thoughts—I was really unsure!
And why not "yeux-de-Boeufs"? π

I almost wrote it that way myself, then I changed my mind—I had serious doubts!
And why not ox-eyes? π
Because you only need one ox to have two eyes?
The reverse isn’t true unless it’s a pirate ox!
Don’t confuse it with *boeuf-carottes* (beef and carrots), which has nothing to do with this discussion, nor with *boeuf bourguignon*, a Dijon specialty—just like mustard, by the way. Though mustard has nothing to do with the aforementioned ox.
Okay, I’ll stop.

I don’t know if it’s actually banned or not… but I don’t wanna copy the other gals 😂 😂 😂

Absolutely, Kate! I love seeing how others view the same topic—it’s often super insightful 😊

It's not forbidden unless the person organizing the contest specified it in the rules.
I did it for the World Monuments contest and it caused quite a stir...

I did it for the World Monuments contest and oh boy, did people complain…
Ah! But the organizer should be able to set their own rules.
Not allowing two photos of the same place ensures great diversity, but on the other hand, if you want more participants, it’s better to be more open 😅

I did it for the "Monuments of the World" contest and people yelled loudly...
On VF, people often yell loudly β¦ But in the end, the caravan moves on anyway β¦

Whoever’s organizing can do whatever they want. π
But sometimes they get hit with a wave of complaints in return... Gotta stand your ground then. Or not...

Speaking of which, Muriel, I had just picked a photo of Chenonceau and—bam!—you post one... I’m cursed, now I’ve got to find another photo... I’m definitely not gonna make it this month 😫 😂

Back in 2008, apparently (see AgnΓ¨s’s travel journal), it just kept getting worse π. Such a shame, because I really liked that garden.
