Good evening everyone,
I think it's great to revive this post.
Here's my contribution: Observation Point in Zion.

You're right, we need to keep this post alive 😉.

Hello.
One of the most beautiful spots to spend the night and easy to access: Skyline Overlook near Factory Butte.
Have a great day. Jacques.

Hello everyone,
The instructions say one photo! But people—and I’m no exception—can’t count.
I didn’t see many animals, so here’s a grizzly photo taken in Yellowstone:

And out there, wildfires are unfortunately common, so here’s a house on fire...

A landscape too:

And finally, the road, of course—even if it’s been seen before:

Happy travels, everyone!

Good evening, everyone! 🙂
Skyline Drive is a 5 km scenic road located in Cañon City, Colorado. It was built by inmates in 1905. The road starts from U.S. Highway 50. It winds up gently at first, then continues along the ridge like a rollercoaster—luckily, it's one-way. Stunning views of the mountains, the road 250 m below to the right, and Cañon City to the left. It’s not far from the Royal Gorge Bridge.
Marcalamar 🙂

SEDAN (Montana): a village practically vanished. Remains of the cemetery. The bird sings and the hat is just two strands of barbed wire twisted together...

Hello!
What a great idea for this travel journal, kudos to everyone for these amazing photos—"amazing" doesn’t even cover it!
Our first and only trip to the West was 8 years ago, and we’re in the middle of planning our return. I’m joining you by posting at least one photo—thanks for having me!

Small clarification on my photo—it’s Chimney Rock. I’ll take the opportunity to post a second one: Landscape Arch. I picked these two photos to avoid being too repetitive with all the shots that have already been posted

Hi there.
The trails, the roads, and don’t forget the railroad that helped shape the West.
One of the largest trestles in the U.S. still in good condition near the Mexican border in Ocotillo.

Hi Nathalie.
It's amazing how beautiful this road is compared to its condition in the past! Thanks for bringing back the memories.
Bernard.

Hi Fabienne and everyone else.
I haven't contributed to this journal yet, even though I'd obviously seen it before. Why? Simply because it's so hard for me to choose just one photo. So, why today? Because I just stumbled upon it again and realized it's been a while since we last updated it—yet it inspires dreams, and it's so nice to dream a little.
So, I have to pick a photo... and it'll be the one from my avatar.

I could post dozens from that half-day spent with Steve Dodson at CBS, one of my many best memories of the West. We were lucky to have a pleasant morning with pretty white clouds and even a little water in some spots. For more details, check out my travel journal 😉.
I hope you're all doing well, despite this summer being so different from what many of us had planned.
Best,
Françoise.

Hi Françoise,
The photo you posted is gorgeous.
We also visited CBS with Steve Dodson, but there was no water during our visit.
I hope you're all doing well, despite this summer being so different from what many of us had planned.
I'm doing fine. This summer, we didn't go abroad. We went to Brittany, especially along the GR34.
Have a lovely afternoon!
Best,
Christine

Uh... how to put it... one is already really great 😛
And I agree with the previous posters—it’s truly magnificent.
