Hi Torpan, I’d recommend ditching Google Maps for something like Organic Maps (there are others too). The advantage is that you download the map of the region, department, or country you’re visiting, and you won’t need WiFi or internet—it’s all on your phone! The details are amazing: even the tiniest hiking trails, monuments, cafés, restaurants, shops, etc. When you turn on your phone’s GPS, a little arrow shows exactly where you are and the direction you’re heading. You can get directions from your current location to another spot (by car, motorcycle, on foot, or even by bus, tram, or subway if available), or even from a different starting point than where you are now... This has saved us countless times in the forests of Laos, Guatemala, China, and India... and even in Myanmar! You can mark points on the map for things you want to see before you go... I’ve already mapped out most of your visits and those of several other "travelers"...😊 Happy travels! P.S.: I just checked—Tokyo’s subway is included. I set Tokyo International Forum as the starting point and Shinjuku as the destination, and Organic Maps showed me how to walk to the nearest station (Ginza) and take the red (M) line, including any transfers... Safe travels! !
