Nevertheless, since the problem has been resolved—for now, at least—I’d like to sincerely thank everyone who worked to get things back to normal. 🙂
THANKS to them.

Hi there,
Up until now, I’d never had any issues, but this afternoon I ran into a ton of problems trying to upload photos to my Tunisia travel journal. I had to start over several times.
I think this kind of problem must be putting a lot of people off.

Today, the site crashed several times. It's really frustrating when you've uploaded a dozen photos, saved the text, and done the formatting. Everything is lost, and you have to start all over again. 🏴☠️

Hi there,
I’ve been working on my travel journal for several days now and I’ve run into the same issues over and over again.
To avoid starting all over, I draft a post that’ll include no more than 5 photos. I copy and paste the text from my draft, then click "send my reply" to make sure I don’t lose it. After that, I use the "edit my post" function to add one photo, hit "send," and repeat the process until all 5 images are uploaded.
Then I prepare a new post for the next 5 images, doing the same thing... and so on.
This is just my method and suggestion—nothing more!
Hang in there, and be patient.
Cheers,
Puma2A

Hi there,
I do pretty much the same thing, in small chunks.
I had photos to add to posts I’d already published. At first, I’d upload the 10 photos allowed per message, but when I tried to send it, it would crash. So I changed my approach: I now upload just three or four photos at a time and send the updates. It’s less of a pain than starting over with ten photos if there’s a bug.
But it’s still "annoying" and tedious, and I think it might even be pretty off-putting for some people.
Luckily, with travel journals, you can edit the text and photos as much as you want, even days later—there’s no time limit like there is for other posts.

Hi Alain,
Yeah, I copy-paste too. I’ve had my text written for ages. I take notes while traveling and rewrite it all when I get back.
This afternoon, I finally did like you—I uploaded a few photos and tweaked them by adding others. But I think this way of doing things might put off quite a few people.

Every now and then, when I click on a photo in a travel journal to enlarge it, it doesn’t work—instead, a new tab opens with an ad from one of VoyageForum’s advertisers...
Just reporting it.

There, it's reported.
We’ve been reporting it for a while, but if they can’t figure out where it’s coming from, it’s going to end up discouraging people from keeping travel journals.

I sometimes have Booking opening up on me!
And so many little bugs that aren’t even mentioned here, but they make using the site a real chore.

What’s surprising is that Voyage Forum is part of the same group as Myatlas, and on Myatlas, there’s no problem at all.

I often get this message.

I get this a lot too when I upload photos, and I have to start all over again...
And sometimes it happens when I log in to the site.

That’s not really comparable—the two sites work differently. VF seems more complex, and apparently none of the devs know their way around it as well as the late François did :/

Hi Kate,
You’ve summed it up perfectly. VF was coded and patched together by François using a language that’s no longer in use today.
We’ve got two new developers working on it now—fingers crossed!
As for booking, that’s normal.

Well, we really wish you good luck and hope the weather spares you its ups and downs...
Me, every now and then, on FB groups, I tell them: why don’t you come to VoyageForum instead? And besides recommending the site here and there, there’s not much more I can do.

Thanks for chiming in! We’re counting on you to help keep VF around so it can keep helping us travel—virtually or in person.

Hi there,
Today VoyageForum is showing up with a black background, and it’s really uncomfortable to read—it’s hurting my eyes!

Hello,
At the top right, to the left of the "Search" button, there’s a half-white, half-black circle—click on it... Probably accidentally triggered it before...
